There was 3 games in action today England v Paraguay, Czech Republic v Japan and South Korea v Denmark.

England 4-1 Paraguay
England couldn't of wished for a better start in the World Cup after demolishing Paraguay 4-1, King scored 3 goals for England in the 18th, 38th and 67th minute along with Derrick Porritt making it number 4 in the 45th minute. Paraguay pulled one back in the 87th minute with Delio Romero but by the game was well and truly over. Krupesh Shah received a match rating of 6.9, Jozef Ostrowski received a rating of 6.9, Kane Brooker received a match rating of 8.5, Louis Ostrowski received a rating of 6.1, Joshua Bean received a rating of 6.6, Akash Vidyasagar received a rating of 8.6, Jamie King the man of the match received a rating of 9.7, Derrick Porritt received a rating of 7.8 and Ziechael received a rating of 6.9.

Czech Republic 2-1 Japan
World Cup holders Czech Republic today recorded there first win of the competition after losing there first game, Jan Krejcik scored in the 35th minute and Matej Vydra scored in the 38th minute, Japan did pull a goal back in the 43rd minute through Takaya Otani but it wasn't enough. Zdenyak Zebroski received a match rating of 7.2

South Korea 1-1 Denmark
Denmark couldn't break down South Korea despite taking the lead on the 12th minute through Andreas Corelius, South Korea then equalised in the 46th minute with Ryoo Dong-Won scoring the goal. Jeff Carstensen the man of the match received a match rating of 7.8

There was 3 games in action today Egypt v Argentina, Uruguay v Ivory Coast and Canada v Belarus.

Egypt 0-3 Argentina
A great win for Argentina today as Erik Palmerio gave them the lead on the 15th minute, Gustavo Salva then scored a penalty on the 65th minute and finally Adrian Alegre scored in the 90th minute to seal Argentina 3 points

Uruguay 2-1 Ivory Coast
Uruguay recorded there first win of the competition after losing there first, Abel Hernandez scored in the 57th minute and Victore Requelme scored in the 62nd minute with Seydou Koffi scoring for Ivory Coast in the 82nd minute.

Canada 3-0 Belarus
Canada are on top of the world after winning there 2nd world cup game in a row, Daniel Haber scored his hatrick on the 24th, 63rd and 79th minute as well as missing a penalty on the 89th minute, could he be the star of the compeition?

World Cup - Day 8 Update: Group Stages

There was 3 games in action today Congo v Spain, Italy v Costa Rica and Germany v Nigeria.

Congo 1-2 Spain
Spain finally won a game after a disappointing Euro campaign and also losing there first game of the world cup and they was pretty lucky to get a win, Cristian Corpa scored on the 13th minute and then Jose Ramon Flano made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute, Congo pulled one back in the 36th minute through Christian N'Gimbi

Italy 1-0 Costa Rica
Italy made it 2 wins out of 2 with a goal from Stephan El Shaarawy on the 7th minute and that's all it took for them to get 3 points over Costa Rica. Gianluigi Buffon Jr. received a average rating of 7.0

Germany 3-1 Nigeria
Germany today dominated Nigeria with goals from Michael Tasche, Marcin Waldoch and Nektarios Tschantaris. Nigeria pulled one back through Odibe. Lutor Tar received a match rating of 6.9.

Mexico today won with goals from Erick Torres on 15 minutes and Javier Hernandez on the 49th minute, Belgium pulled a goal back in the 52nd minute through Romelu Lukaku. Dylan Herremans received a match rating of 7.1
