SEPTEMBER FIXTURE ROUNDUP

September was an average month, not to bad but not to brilliant either. United won away at PSG and Arsenal but dropped points at home to Liverpool and Stoke resulting in a balanced month.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
For me there are 2. Either the 2-0 win away at Arsenal in which Chicharito and Bale scored, or the 4-1 win away at Wigan in the Capital One Cup. You may find the second one a strange choice but I played a really young team and this result encouraged me that my United team has a very strong future.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH
The game versus Liverpool at home without a shadow of a doubt. To lose is one thing but to lose to one of your greatest rivals just makes it that little more bitter.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Gareth Bale - He really influenced play and popped up with a goal as well as a few assists. Danny Welbeck ran him close but Gareth Bale is my player of the month for September
OCTOBER FIXTURE ROUNDUP

The month of October was an extremely successful month for Nathaniel Mair and his team. They went the whole time unbeaten winning all but 1 of their games.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH

The highlight of the month was definitely the 5-1 win at home to Newcastle. Javier Hernandez got a hat-trick whilst Bale and Rooney got one apiece as United thrashed The Toon Army at Old Trafford.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH

I wouldn't really class this as a lowlight but it would be the 1-1 draw at home to Valencia as it was the only game of the month that United failed to win despite dominating possession and every aspect of the game.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Javier Hernandez scoops the October player of the month award, mainly due to his exceptional performance in the 5-1 win over Newcastle. In a month that United were brilliant, Hernandez was the best.
Good story so far, keep it up!

WORLD GOLDEN BALL SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED

The Golden Ball shortlist for the best player in the World. Along with the obvious candidates such as Andres Iniesta, Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, there were some slightly more unusual candidates such as Marouane Fellaini, Robinho and Rio Ferdinand (Who has hardly played for United this season!). With the ball up for grabs no fewer than 12 players form the Premier League were on the shortlist. All the candidates were from Europe bar one, the brilliant Neymar. As we reflect on the season these players have had the obvious contender for the award is Cristiano Ronaldo as he has had a fantastic season but I'm sure UEFAlona will find some way to give the award to Messi or Iniesta or Xavi.

That's all from me, Jeff Stelling, Over to you in the studio.
NOVEMBER FIXTURE ROUNDUP

November was a pretty good month, winning 4 games drawing 2 and losing 1.

HIGHLIGHT OF MONTH

The 5-1 win over Tottenham was brilliant, in which RVP got a brace and Schweinsteiger, Bale and Rooney also scored. The 6-1 win was also brilliant mainly because Chicharito got 4.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH

You may think I would automatically say the loss away at Valencia but we performed well in that match and were robbed! So for me its the 0-0 draw at home to Wigan in which we were lacklustre at best.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

For the second month in a row, Javier Hernandez bags the Player of the month award. He was in brilliant form and his 4 goals versus QPR was a particular highlight. However another player who impressed was Jesse Lingard who I am easing into the first team. He socred 2 against QPR.
good work mate nice to see you playing players like Lingard as well! thats something I was never able to do playing with United
1
Yeah, he's been playing really well as well! I was 0-0 with Rotherham in the FA Cup with 20 mins to go and he popped up with 2 goals so that was good!

DECEMEBER FIXTURE ROUNDUP

Another unbeaten month! The team were firing on all cylinders as we eased past Everton, Man City, Chelsea etc.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH

The 2-0 win over Manchester City was probably the highlight of my season so far mainly due to the ease we dispatched them with.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH

The 0-0 draw away at West Brom. We dominated but couldn't score.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
David De Gea - He hardly conceded any goals and was absolutely brilliant between the sticks. He is a lot more confident now and more self assured.
JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH FIXTURE ROUNDUP

Right guys after this post I'm going to do match reports on every game as it is the run in and the business end of the season.

As you can see from the Image, throughout January, February and March we lost 2 games drew 6 and won 13, an impressive record.

JANUARY

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
The win away at Stoke, 4-1 was a real highlight for me due to the manner in which we dispatched the Potteries at fortress Britannia.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH
The 2-1 loss away at Arsenal was disappointing as it ended our long unbeaten of 18 games and it was a game we really should've won with all the chances we had.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Wayne Rooney wins player of the month for January. He was in imperious form and popped up with a few goals and a lot of assists.

FEBRUARY

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
The 2-0 win over Spurs was special. Away at White Hart Lane we were expected to sneak a draw but yet we managed to win 2-0 and absolutely dominated the match.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH
The away loss to Newcastle was gut wrenching as it was the first time this season we had lost to a team outside the top 6. We were bulldozing past the littler clubs but Newcastle changed that!

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
David De Gea - He only conceded 3 goals throughout the entire month and kept 4 clean sheets.

MARCH

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH
The 3-1 win against Chelsea in the FA Cup was particularly special as we were behind and scored 3 late goals to win. It also meant we were in the quarters of the FA Cup.

LOWLIGHT OF THE MONTH
We won all our games except 2 and both of them were draws. Out of the 2 draws the worst one was the game against Wigan as I was almost playing for a draw against Galatasary anyway!

PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Robin Van Persie - The Dutchman was in fine form throughout March, scoring 5 goals and assisting 3. Surprisingly though he isn't actually the top scorer at the club, that is Chicharito.

PREMIER LEAGUE TABLE

For the first time on this career, here is a look at the Premier League Table. As you can see my United side are top BUT Chelsea do have a game in hand.

MANCHESTER UNITED V REAL MADRID (CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FIRST LEG)

The biggest game of the season for both of these clubs. Forget El Classico and the Manchester Derby, this is the biggie. Real are top of the Liga BBVA whilst United top the EPL.

MATCH PREVIEW

JS - JEFF STELLING
AM - ALAN MCINALLY

JS - Welcome to our coverage of this huge game between Manchester United and Real Madrid. It is the biggest game of the season so far.

AM - Yes Jeff it is a huge game and I can see there being lots of goals.

JS - Really Alan? I see it being more of a tight affair with United grabbing a late winner.

AM - No Jeff, I think both teams will go for the jugular and the score will finish 3-3.

JS - Okay Alan, anyway here are the teams.

THE MATCH

JS - 0' AND WE HAVE KICKED OFF
10' AM - OH WHAT A CHANCE FOR UNITED! A RIO FERDINAND HEADER FROM A CORNER RATTLES THE BAR.

17' JS - GOAL! FROM A CRISITIANO RONALDO CONER PEPE BULLETS A HEADER IN AT THE NEAR POST. REAL MADRID 1-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

40' JS - OH NO! CATASTROPHE FOR MANCHESTER UNITED AS RIGHT BACK RAFAEL IS SENT OFF. HE LUNGED IN ON XABI ALONSO AND QUITE RIGHTLY GOT HIS SECOD RED CARD

57' JS - GOAL! MANCHESTER UNITED 0-2 REAL MADRID. OH WAIT, ITS BEEN DISALLOWED. THE ASSISTANT WAS L;ATE IN PUTTING HIS FLAG UP BUT THE GOAL HAS BEEN DISALLOWED

90' AM - GOAL! MANCHESTER UNITED 1-1 REA MADRID. WITH THE LAST KICK OF THE BALL DANNY WELBECK GHOSTED INTO THE BOX AND NODDED HOME THE CROSS FROM GARETH BALE

FULL TIME MANCHESTER UNITED 1-1 REAL MADRID

Silly rafael getting sent off but well done on getting the draw and not conceding more away goals! you should be able to score at RM so hope you get the win

Manchester United 1-0 Reading

So after the disappointing draw to Real Madrid in mid week, we stuttered to a 1-0 win over Reading with Danny Welbeck scoring the goal. I played a whole new team as I am resting my best players for the big game at the Bernebeau. So overall I'm happy with the result especially as it gave us breathing space at the top of the table.
