Mastour! Great signing :)

Zidane Joins Manchester United

In a sensational move by David Moyes, the French legend Zidane has joined Manchester United. But no, not Zinedine Zidane, but his son, Enzo Zidane. Enzo, currently 17 joined for just £100k after previously playing for Spanish giants Real Madrid. Enzo joined Real Madrid in 2010, but was unable to get into the team to play, so dropped down to the Real Madrid C side.

However, after being unhappy about not being able to discuss a contract with Moyes and Manchester United, he refused to play, meaning Real Madrid allowed the son of a former club legend to discuss a transfer and contract over in England. Zidane and Glazer settled on a £100k deal, in which Zidane would get £1.2k per week until 2015.

As Enzo Zidane is currently without an agent, Zinedine Zidane stepped in and took his soon over to Manchester, where he could up with many old friends from the playing days, most notably Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes. It is expcted Enzo will be placed into the reserves or under-18's, and Moyes has stated he wants to give Enzo the opportunity of a loan spell in ENgland, for experience and to get used to English football.

Many fans can't wait to see Enzo put on a Manchester United shirt, and hope he can one day be as good as his father.

Great couple of signings Kane! Now go on and dominate the league! :P
Great signings!
Glenn T: Thanks pal, will do!

BeanyUnited: Thanks, although most will be out on loan for now :P

Giggs: "Baines Is A Brilliant Signing"

Following the arrival of left-back Leighton Baines from Everton, United legend Ryan Giggs has become the first to praise David Moyes for his magnificent capture. Baines signed from the Toffees for a fee of £17.5 million, after some very successful seasons under David Moyes previously. Giggs, who is the longest serving player at the club, agreed that a left-back was needed, and that Baines was a perfect replacement for Evra.

Ryan Giggs went on to say how Moyes had made a brilliant singing, bringing Leighton to Old Trafford. "Leighton is a quality player, everyone can see it. Last year, when I played frequently, I found two left backs I really struggled to play against. The young Southampton lad, Luke Shaw, was decent, but the main man was Leighton. He would close down everything, stop you wherever you wanted to go, it's unreal how much he does. We need a player like him here and I'm delighted to be able to play with him."

Baines was welcomed to Manchester with a very large press conference, alongside manager David Moyes and chief executive David Gill. The left back was praised by Moyes for his hardwork, commitment and skill in every game. Baines has currently played for the England side 14 times, and told Sky Sports News he wants to use the opportunity of being at such a big club, to be able to also play for his country more.

Leighton already has a strong friendship with fellow defender Jonny Evans, Stuart Booth being agents for both players. It is expected Baines will seize the opportunity to become good friends with Jonny, while also getting to know all the others players. Booth has also become the agent for Luka Modric and Maxi Rodriguez. Leighton and Jonny have already been spotted out in town together, suggesting the two as a pair could work very well in the defensive lines of Old Trafford.

There have been rumours circulating on social networking sites Baines could become vice-captain already as early as next season.
Good signing in Baines, top quality left back, and 17.5 is a good price indeed.

Danny Welbeck Leaves On Loan

In an unexpected move, striker Danny Welbeck has left Manchester United for the season, in order to join Newcastle United for the rest of the season. Welbeck will return to Old Trafford at the end of the season, but Newcastle will pay £275k per week in order to keep Welbeck at the club for the last few months. The move has shocked many, as Newcastle are sitting in third place, just behind United, and will try to push for the space of either Manchester club.

Danny Welbeck has faced some tough times so far in Manchester, with Robert Lewandowski, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Javier Hernandez and Carlos Fierro all battling with the English striker to start for the Red Devils. Welbeck managed just 3 games all season for the club, not scoring but setting up one goal. Moyes favoured the other strikers, causing an upset for Welbeck.

It is suggested that David Moyes may have tried to actually sell Welbeck, but either offers were off a value to low to the liking of the Scot, or no offers were received. However, Milan made suggestions to an offer of around £10 million spread over 48 months, which was immediately rejected.

With Newcastle, Danny has been given a role as a first team member, and is expected to play in most, if not all games the Toon play, in order to push for a place in the top two. This already seems to be one of their best seasons, but will what to go even better. Welbeck may even face Manchester United, with his team due to travel to Old Trafford in early league.

Danny Welbeck is carried valued at £12 million and is earning £50k per week.
Nice signings, i reckon real Baines will be heading the same way this summer as well, at least you got in there first :)
This story is so well written and I hope it goes the Story of the Month nomination and win that it deserves!

Young Stars Leave on Loan

Manchester United have let a few youngsters leave the club on loan for the rest of the season, including some of the new January signings, playing just once or twice for the team and then leaving to get more experience in English football and play more first team football. Manchester United are yet to sell or release any players, even though many have contracts expiring within the next 6 months.

Julian Brandt became the first player to follow Danny Welbeck in leaving the club on loan. Brandt is joining Championship side Bristol City. Bristol City are currently bottom of the table, and are 6 points away from safety. Brandt will take a rotating role at the club.

Fellow new signing Hachim Mastour has become the next player to leave, joining Birmingham City until the rest of the season. Birmingham City are also in the Championship, and are shockingly sitting in 23rd place, just four points ahead of Bristol City.

Nicholas Ioannou left to join nPower League Two side Exeter City. Exeter are sitting in 14th place, and Ioannou is due to take quite a big role at the club for the rest of the season, expected to play most games wanting more experience.

Finally, Tom Thorpe is on loan to Preston North End for 3 months, as an emergency loan due to the lack of depth in the defense. Thorpe will still feature reguarly for the nPower League One side, where Preston are currently sitting in 8th, pushing for a play-off spot.
