Manchester Signings Arrive

David Moyes' four new signings have finally arrived at Old Trafford today, following the opening of the transfer window. Moyes had announced two of the signings a long time ago, just missing out on signing them in the Summer transfer window. With the fees already paid, and contracts agreed, Moyes simply had to wait until 1st January 2013 to get his new signings to Manchester. However, who were the two not announced before.

Leighton Baines is the big name coming to Old Trafford, from Moyes' former club Everton. The capturing of Baines was announcing during September, and Leighton have left United fans frothing for some action from the left back. When Moyes announced the signing (news can be found here) fans were delighted, and his current performances at Everton have shown that.

This season Baines played for the Toffees 19 times, scoring 3 times, assisting 3 times, becoming man of the match once and receiving an average rating of 7.01. Leighton will go straight into the starting XI, after the sale of vice-captain Patrice Evra to Milan, and with Alexander Buttner still out injured for a few weeks still. Baines is currently valued at £14.25 million.

Julian Brandt, the Wolfsburg youngster, was announced as a future Red Devil just after the window shut, at the start of September. Fans were unsure, but trusted Moyes, and felt the price he paid could lead to a great signing in the future (news can be found here).

Even at the age of just 16, Julian manage to start twice for Wolfsburg this season, coming off the bench. However, only playing 42 games combined meant Brandt is yet to score in a professional game. Brandt recieved an average rating of 6.50. It is expected Brandt will either play in the Under-18 squad, or possibly reserves, but sources say many teams are preparing a loan bid for the German, currently valued at £475 thousand.

However, there are another two, still not announced. Who are they? The remaining signings will be announced soon.

Hachim Mastour Is Signing Number Three

14-year-old Hachim Mastour has been announced as the third signing of January for David Moyes. Mastour previously played for AC Milan and had become well known. Mastour has even been called the new Lionel Messi, and was scouted by Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona, with scouts since saying he has a similar style of play to Shinji Kagawa.

Mastour may only be young, but came with a price tag of £2.5 million. Nevertheless, David Moyes said he felt Hachim would be worth every penny, and could be a world beater in the future. As a young boy the Italian has become known for his exceptional dribbling, passing, flair and technique. His stamina and fitness is also said to be exceptional for a 14-year-old.

David Moyes has expressed his happiness at managing to get the player, who Ferguson also scouted when managing at the Theatre of Dreams. Moyes described Mastour as a player with unbelievable, and with the right training, could become the best in the world. He then went on to say about how the facilities at Manchester United can help him become that player, with Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers already wanting the player on loan.

He has already featured for the Italy Under-21 side, playing as just a 13-year-old last year, an outstanding achievement in any country, let alone a country with such a high standard of footballers, such as Italy. Hachim managed to play twice for Milan before leaving for Manchester, in which he also gained an assist.

Hachim Mastour will be on £55 p/week in a deal lasting until June 2018.

Screenshot of Mastour and Brandt pretty please?
I've seen youtube videos of him.
Good luck with Mastour (bate)! ;) He never did well for me at Aston Villa but I suppose that was all due to a lack of first team experience. Hopefully you can provide him with those.
TheFMBeast: Go back onto their announcements and Ill post them! I'll do one for Baines and the next one too :P

The Special One: Haven't seen him IRL, what did you think?

Glenn T: Hopefully training him up with make him a legend in the Mastour-bating world!
