Moyes: 'Cleverley Deserves Call Up'

David Moyes today expressed his beliefs that Tom Cleverley deserves a call up to the England squad. Tom Cleverley has scored 3 goals in 3 games this season, thanks to a hattrick against Stoke. His goals in pre-season also led to the Scot wanting Roy Hodgson to bring Tom Cleverley into the national side.

Tom Cleverley, now 23, has currently featured 16 times for the U21 sides, but is yet to feature for the national side. Hodgson has favoured Manchester City midfielder James Milner over Cleverley, even though Milner only has a place on the bench at the moment at the Etihad Stadium.

Moyes told BBC Sport that he feels Cleverley has been treated unfairly. Moyes, who has recently taken over at Manchester United, said how he felt Tom has been one of the best players for the side so far, defending well, scoring and assisting. Moyes said that he hopes Cleverley is granted a place in the near future due to his excellent form for his club.

Tom Cleverley is currently valued at £13.25 million and earning £20k p/w at Old Trafford.
Well, if you say he does, then he probably does...N'T! Muahahahahahahahahahahahahah :P
Louis O.: Oi, mate, when Moyes said he wants something done, it gets done, capiche? :P

New Contract For Ferdinand

Rio Ferdinand has signed a new contract with Manchester United. Rio's contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but David Moyes was eager to retain the services of Ferdinand immediately. Ferdinand put pen to paper on a new one year contract, but is expected to extend his contract later on if fully fit to continue with the Red Devils.

Ferdinand has featured once in the league for United so far, but also played often during the pre-season tour with Manchester United. Rio, now 33, also took a pay cut, while lowering his role at the club.

Rio was previously a key player at the club, and was earning £110k p/w. Nevertheless, with him understanding age would be an issue, and younger players coming through the club such as Jones and Smalling, Ferdinand and Moyes decided on a first team contract, in which he will receive £80k p/w.

Rio Ferdinand joined Manchester United from Leeds in 2001 for £29 million, and his since scored 6 goals in 291 games as a central defender.
Absolutely quality Devil, keep it up :)

September 2012 Results Part 1

As September is quite a busy month, with a lot of games to play, many which are tough for the team, September Results will be split into two parts. With 6 games to play, including a Capital One Cup fixture, a Champions League fixture, a rival game vs Chelsea and two games against Moyes old club Everton, this month would be a toughie for the Devils.

Manchester United 1-0 Sunderland

Saturday 1st September 2012 - Barclays Premier League - Old Trafford - Att. 75,190

United Starting XI - De Gea, Buttner, Smalling, Vidic, Rafael, Cleverley, Fellaini, Powell, Kagawa, Giggs, van Persie SUBS - Adan, Ferdinand, Evans, Carrick, Scholes, Welbeck, Hernandez

SUBS - Carrick, Welbeck, Hernandez

GOALS - van Persie (57)

INJURED - van Persie (Twisted ankle, 3 weeks)

MOTM - John O'Shea

Three points, but really we should have won by more. However, the main concern for the next few weeks will be the attackers now. We have tough games coming up, and we will be without Lewandowski, van Persie and Rooney, our three biggest attacking options. This could be an issue, so the run of low scoring games could continue for the rest of the month.

Chelsea 0-0 Manchester United

Saturday 15th September 2012 - Barclays Premier League - Stamford Bridge - Att. 41,798

United Starting XI - Lindegaard, Buttner, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael, Kagawa, Cleverley, Carrick, Giggs, Fellaini, Hernandez SUBS - De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Powell, Scholes, Fierro, Lewandowski

SUBS - Powell, Scholes, Lewandowski

GOALS - None

INJURED - Giggs (Bruised Ribs, 4 days)

MOTM - Nemanja Vidic

Playing away to Chelsea with limited options, while giving Lindegaard a run about, and keeping a clean sheet, while getting a point isn't too bad at all. A win would be nice, but a point away is key, while missing the likes of Robin and Wayne, with Robert only managing to play 10 minutes or so. Hopefully, we can pick up the 3 points at home to Chelsea later on in the season too.

Manchester United 0-1 Galatasary

Tuesday 18th September 2012 - UEFA Champions League Grp C - Old Trafford - Att. 75,765

United Starting XI - Lindegaard, Buttner, Vidic, Evans, Smalling, Scholes, Powell, Cleverley, Rooney, Welbeck, Fierro SUBS - De Gea, Ferdinand, Carrick, Kagawa, Hernandez, Lewandowski

SUBS - Jones, Carrick, Lewandowski

GOALS - None

INJURED - Cleverley (Bruised Ribs, 5-6 days) Powell (Broken Leg, 5-6 months)

MOTM - Didier Drogba

This result was not acceptable! We played a weaker side to rest players due to fixture congestion, but still, we should have managed at least a draw. Two games without scoring isn't good, something needs to change here. And to top it off, Powell, who I had high hopes for, it out for most the season now with a broken leg. Then Didier Drogba comes back to haunt us with a goal. David Moyes is not a happy manager!

League Table

Okay, so we're third. The campaign hasn't started badly, and picking up a point at Chelsea was pretty good, but we need to score more. With the likes of Lewandowski, Rooney, van Persie, Hernandez, Welbeck and Fierro I can't understand how they can't score. We need improvements up the field somehow.

Player of the Month

Nemanja Vidic. Good ol' Vidic shows why he is the captain. He pulls through the tough games by still having a solid performance, topping off an excellent pre-season. Against Sunderland he helped keep a clean sheet and was voted as the best United Player. Then against Chelsea, he helped keep another clean sheet and became Man of the Match. Finally against Galatasary, he once again became joint best United player, alongside Michael Carrick.
Bad result against Galatasary! Loving how you are presenting the story - potential story of the month! Keep it up!
Blue: Thanks Blue, always great to here it from you. ;)

Jamesg237: It's a tough one to take, we'll just have to beat them next time. :P Glad you like the presentation, it's always a dodgy one to work out when posting though :P
A draw at Chelsea aint to bad, the loss however at Galatasaray is a bit of a shame, but never the less I do believe you will overcome that result. Looking at the league table you're in a nice position.

Let's bring Utd. on top at the end of the season :D
Hehe, you lost to Galatasary :P

Brandt To Join United

16 year old Julian Brandt has today confirmed that he will be a Manchester United as of 1st January 2013. Brandt currently plays for Wolfsburg, featuring in their U19 side. Brandt will cost David Moyes £675k, and is expected to be a player for the future, recieving training from some of the best coaches in the world, in the some of the best facilities in the world, to try and become the next Germany and Manchester United star.

Moyes is yet to see Brandt in action, although he has featured once this season for the Wolfsburg first team. Moyes relied on the knowledge of his scouts, who suggested buying him as a result of his excellent potential. Brandt is currently known for his dribbling skills and speed, but also his determination and motivation on the pitch.

Although only 16, Brandt has already shown his versatility by being able to play on the left and right of midfield, on the wings, or as a striker, a key advantage for David Moyes to use early in Julian's career.

It is expected he will just sign a youth contract, and then a full time contract should he please David Moyes when he turns 17.
oh Brandt :O
I hope he will turn out good, never really paid attention to this guy but he seems like a very decent player. On my save he played over 300 games and started working as a scout in 2027-2028.
There is, to be honest, no difference between 'key player' and 'first team' :P

Some unlucky results there especially the defeat against Gala but I'm certain fortunes will improve :)
Go Spurs! :P I'm sure you can beat them with your strikeforce!
Awesome updating style Devil really enjoying the way its done! Bad result against Galatasary but hopefully you can return the favour to them back in Turkey!
