The Transfer Market slams shut!

http://i44.tinypic.com/b5sns2.png

The transfer market has officially ended! The sound of FAX machines beeping and buzzing, telephones ringing and pens furiously scrawling have come to a stop. This years transfer market has seen some key players switch clubs, both from abroad or from club-to-club.However, one major suprise was the fact that Mr.Daniel 'I-like-to-leave-it-late' Levy didn't manage to sign someone for a knockdown fee on the last day of the market.

One of the biggest highlights of the Transfer saga is that both Bale and Suarez have stayed at their respected clubs. The 'will-they-wont-they' pair have much been linked to a move to Real Madrid, and their was even a point where Moyes hinted that he would love to bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford. It looked likely that both Bale and Suarez would be off, especially because both respected clubs failed to achieve their target - Once again Tottenham finished behind North London Rivals to finish 5th, while Liverpool didn't manage to secure a spot in either the Champions League or the Europa League.

Another major talking point is the arrival of three key players for Manchester City. Having earlier recorded deals for both Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho for around £33m, and speedy winger Jesus Navas for an initial fee of £14.5m. City have gone all out to secure the service of Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamšík. Hamšík has transferred from Napoli to City for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £39.5m, signing a five year contract.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham also spent big, as young Brazillian Full-Back Rafael switched Manchester for London for a free of £25m, while Manchester United brought in Austrian wonder-kid David Alaba for a fee of £18m. Daniel Levy also opened his wallet, capturing the young attacking Brazillian Wellington-Nem for a fee thought to be around the £20m - £25m mark.

Overall, Manchester City were the biggest spenders of the Transfer Window, spending a total of £87m, while the overall budget came to an astounding £303.5m

Wow. Some great writing over here! The picture is fantastic, you got to teach me how to do that! I will certainly be keeping up with this story. It will be interesting how you will cope without Zaha next season :P
I like that you showed us all transfer moves, not just your clubs. I highly rate David Bentley too.
Chelsea signed Rafael? :))
2013-06-11 19:12#111360 Louis O. : Chelsea signed Rafael? :))

That's what I thought, LOL.

@Pauker Thank you, and it's not actually that hard :P. Zaha had the chance to return, but turned me down for Spurs :(!

@Matt - Thought it would just be a bit different, gives me an excuse to great the graphics too ;).

Your graphics are absolutely orgasmic (that's a good thing). I love how you're putting so much effort into this story and I can't wait to read more.

Keep it up Nick!

Cheers, Glenn! I got a bit bored towards the end, which is why the Wolves one isn't as in much detail :D

Accidentally thanked you for that post of yours, not that you would mind ;)

I get bored writing about my results on my story every time! It's normal :P
Your writing is really really good! Detail is always nice too! Decent start- Keep up the good work! :) (Gotta teach me how to use GIMP sometime :P )

I've changed it now, thought that the writing would take too much time for each update :D. It's actually really easy to use, I think what makes it harder is the fact that it looks so confusing!!

Roy announces England squad

http://i44.tinypic.com/3502gp0.png

Roy Hodgson has announced the England squad that will face San Marino and Poland. Surprise selections include Rio Ferdinand, who earlier this year claimed that he would not make another appearance for England, he has since withdrawn this statement. Aaron Lennon also features among the players chosen. Aaron Lennon has often been overlooked for the likes of Theo Walcott. However, in recent months Walcott has began to play a more central role, allowing for Lennon to feature in the squad.

The following players that can have been included in the squad are as followed:

Goalkeeper: John Ruddy (Norwich), Joe Hart (Man City) and Fraser Forster (Celtic)

Defenders: Kyle Walker (Tottenham), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), John Terry (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Joleon Lescott (Man City), Leigton Baines (Everton) and Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

Midfielders: Wilfried Zaha (Man Utd/Tottenham), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Steven Gerrard(Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal), Gareth Barry (Man City), Aaron Lennon (Tottenham) and Ashley Young (Man Utd)

Strikers: Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd), Danny Welbeck (Man Utd) and Jermaine Defoe (Tottenham)
Love the detail and graphics Nick. Great to see Zaha in the squad :P
Just amazing layout and pictures! Keep it up!

I can see it being candidated for SoTM already if you stay with making the pics!
