October

October proved a fantastic month for us, we continued our fine league form from the previous month as well as managing to get to the next stage of the French cup!

We began the month with an away victory against Uzes Pont Du Gard. We controlled the match from the outset and ran out 3-1 winners. We followed that victory up with yet another one against promotion hopefuls Orleans Loriet Football. At the time they were just one place behind us so the win was much needed.

The winning streak we had built up was greatly timed as for the first time I was going to manage against one of our rivals, Red Star FC. Now personally I would rather play PSG but this still felt like a big game. It was broadcasted on National television so I told the players to put on a show. After a nervy start we soon found our feet and won 2-0!

Just over a week later we entertained Vannes OC. It was a dull game and it looked as though the lads were struggling with fitness but we overcame those fears and won 2-1! Breaking our consecutive wins record!

We finished the month confidently going through to the 7th round of the french cup after beating minnows SC Merignic 4-0

This winning streak has done the lads the power of good, we look like a team who could go up. Morale is high at the moment and I plan to keep it that way. There is a long way to go but already I am thinking of the squad I want to build for Ligue 2. The thought of getting my revenge against PSG drives me on.

The Media

It seems they are finally begininng to care about us. We were mentioned a number of times in "France Football" with the media firstly picking up on my dealings with our players.

They also picked up on what I said at a press conference. I was asked about Carlo Ancellotti and I didn't hold back, why should I?

Player of the month

By far the oldest member in the whole squad at the age of 34, Jau was absolutely outstanding this month. He makes the team tick and his passing is second to none. If he can stay fit and keep turning in preformances like he has been, we have a great chance of promotion.

November

I woke up friday morning knowing we had a huge game on our hands against Le Poire-Sur-Vie VF who occupied 3rd place and were just 1 point away from us. The way I see it their is a group of 4 that will challenge for the league this season. Ourselves, FC Metz, Armeins SC Football and our opposition today. I had sent scouts out to their previous 3 games knowing how important today could be and we got our tactics spot on. We exploited their weaknesses and managed a 3-2 victory! I shoke their managers hand at the end of the game with a smug look on my face as I went on to celebrate in front of our travelling fans. They idolised me!

Our final league game of a very short month matched us up againstUS Creteil-Lusitanos. The game was televised which always means that I try to get the best of my players. The match was shown live on France's main sports station, straight after PSG played. We produced a good display and won 2-1, though I would have preferred more goals.

In between the league games we faced Trelissac FC in the 7th round of the French cup. We were expected to dominate the game and easily pass through to the next round. What happened next was unexplainable. We walked onto the pitch expecting to blow them away, but they were fired up for it. As the saying goes "Anything can happen in the cup". We crashed and burned in an embarrassing 3-0 defeat. Our fans were shocked, and rightly so. The only positive we can take is that we can now focus all our attention on our promotion challenge.

The Media

I popped open a bottle of Champagne and retired into my chair. My PA had as always left the Football France on my coffee table. For once the headline was not about PSG, but this time Lyon. They were top of Ligue 1 and managed to hold PSG to a draw. They were top of Ligue 1 by a point, but PSG had a game in hand. Ah here we go, Paris FC. "Paris FC - Top of league, out of cup" Typical with the media, they never once mentioned our winning streak in the league, or even our unbeaten streak.

Player of the month

Mendy turned in another few preformances of the highest quality. He didn't play in the humiliating cup defeat but did in both league games.

December

Do you know what? The league this month was not the priority. We had just two league games so I had to organise some friendlies to keep us match fit, but I'll get into that in a minute. The league this month for us was very average, winning one 2-1 and losing the other 4-1. Both games were televised showing that our "Petit Club" was growing. Anyway less about that and let's get to the more important matters.

In order to keep the lads on their toes, I organised to games this month. The first was to give the youngsters a chance to impress. Non-League Tremblay FC agreed to play against us and straight away I got in contact with our under 19 manager. I had always kept a close eye on this team who had the potential to do very well. A completely new starting 11 was laid out as the young guns tried to stake their place in the first team. They played absolutely fantastic and came out with a strong 4-0 win. I can only hope this form continues for them in their league season.

But one friendly was not enough. Every game I had organised had always been against a lesser opposition, this time we needed a challenge. I sat in my office in the clubhouse scanning through possible Ligue 2 teams that would face us. No names really appealed to me. I called in my Assistant. We both brainstormed for hours, not being able to agree on anything. Then he proposed the idea.

Straight away I got my PA to get in contact with those rodents. I had my doubts that they would agree with this, the schedule in Ligue 1 was busier than ours in December. I waited anxiously in my office for the verdict. Both my assistant and I had downed a bottle of Champagne each, the phonecall seemed to go on forever. Then finally she hung up.

"The Paris Saint Germain Chairman has told us that a game vs the first team would not be possible due to their fixture congestion. I asked about playing the under 19s too but the same problem came around. He suggested that I set up a game on the same day with their reserves?"

"Do it"

Ok it wasn't what I had hoped for but we still had a game against PSG. I left the room and called a first team meeting. I told them about the game and they are as up for it as I am. I will write back after the game.

What a day!! Once that full time whistle blew the PSG reserve team manager extended his hand for a handshake and I left him hanging. I couldn't contain myself. I sprinted over to our fans who couldn't believe what they had just seen. They sang my name in praise, They now Idolised me! This was the first time Paris FC could celebrate anything over their rich counterparts so I am going to live it up!

The Media

Frontline news - "Best team in Europe? Not even best team in Paris!" I framed that headline over my bed, enough said!

Bad Newws

Hey lads, Thanks to everyone who has been following this story so far! You all are awesome!
Unfortunately I will not be able to dedicate as much time to FMscout in the coming weeks and gameplay on FM will be limited.

I do not want to finish this story as it has just started and I am really enjoying it. I just wanted to let you know that updates will be tougher to fit in but I will try as best as I can to do at least one every few days or a week.

Cheers Lads!
Good luck with whatever you're busy with Dean, I look forward to more updates, however slow it may be, from this fantastic story. :)

January

Looking at the month we had in store with 3 league games, I expected us to take at least 7 points. We had 2 easy games against struggling teams and then the big one, against 2nd place and title rivals FC Metz.

However our first game did not take place until the 19th, So once again a friendly was set up to keep us match focused. The last thing we want is to get rusty while on a good run of form. We chose a homegame against nearby club Racing CF Levallois 92. I keep our main team in the lineup and we outplayed them and won 2-1.

The league action then came around with an away fixture to SAS Epinal. They were not best pleased to see us, as we took 2 of their young stars in Pre-season. They had struggled this season with inconsistent form and we took advantage to record a 1-0 win, even if it was with a 94th minute goal.

Three days later we faced EFC Frejus Saint-Raphael. I rested some key players knowing the big clash against FC Metz was just another three days from now. We controlled the game from the off and came out on top with a scoreline of 3-1.

Now FC Metz, 2 points behind us in the league, but convincingly defeated us 3-0 earlier in the year. Honestly, I believe they will win the league this year. We took a 1-0 lead into the break scoring a penalty. The second half was much more open and a suicidal backpass helped FC Metz level the game. It had been a theme with us all season, conceding far too many goals. They scored a quickfire double just 2 minutes later and we could not reply. We had dropped from top.

The club had never been in better shape, we sat in the promotion places, we had beaten PSG's Reserves, the fans worshiped me as well as the board, yet I was still unhappy. I want to win this division. Damn my extraordinary ego!

Paris FC are 2nd, 1 point away from 1st

Note - Top 3 teams get promoted, I thought it was 1st, and 2nd and 3rd in playoff!
