PRESS CONFERENCE - DIAZ IV of Dijon
We are prepared. We have shot ball a lot on training. I was of course on last match scouting Groningen and there is no doubt that they are hard team to beat even they didnt start good at beginning of season but it can happen to any club and it will not matter a lot in this match, in fact last minute goal from Drost, their key player, for sure bringed back extra morale not only for this match but for whole team season.
Of course we have scouted them how much we were able but lightshit happens... it will not affect us tho, i have my handbook and it will be enough for me.
Biggest threat and weakness?
Well, there is lot of threat and in that term i think on players-- they have a lot of quality players on almost all positions... from Padt on goal who is for sure one of best goalkeeper in Eredivisie... they have Drost who is every match making big impact on that mid forward part of pitch. Not to mention Lindgren who you let down for second and find yourself in mess. I also belive that high quality is Linssen and we will need to watch on him also, he can be anywhere on pitch, very fast and versatile, which will off course put us in situation that we made slight chages in style we play which then of course makes things different in foward position where we still have a problem with strikers and i do not know how much that will go on, unfortunately for us. I did fuck player mothers for that, not to all players.. but i did.. thats my job and i hope they will start to earn their money for work they doing... i do not need someone to stand in front and wait for someone to pass him the ball and than... ahh put that fucking aside, thank you.
About weakness... i find few..i think transfers in were not needed and standing for what i say but main weakness from my perspective is whole team.. they have all they need, not only to hold first position in league but to put great result here in cup uefa group is their tactic and belive. Maybe mr. de Lool will not agree but defending tactic is not tactic by them and i belive that affects players who even with that tactic can make big things, so i think strategy in match play could bring better result but on other hand i think they can do it without it but need a little more work and belive.
For us, i can announce first eleven, it will be Eduardo, Mamić, Sigali, Taravel, Pinto, Pamić, Pavičić, Antolić, Rog, Pjaca and Soudani. Ademi is not in first eleven because he is still getting back in match fitness and its not fully prepared and our plan could possibly be read now by what i say. Put that aside please.
About Mamić and Rog? .. They are both great players... Rog just needs a time but for our plan i hope he can archive what we imaged and Mamić is first class player already.. i know some people would like to see Pivarič playing more than Mamić but i know my players and Mamić is no doubt better solution in this match... i know that could hurt Pivarić but i am looking for best option and Mamić is that without no question.
Many are happy about Pamić last few matches ..
Of course... you probably remember match against Bratislava... i was counting on him and Matel in term of set-piece and it given provide us chance to be here .. so Pamić is doing what he can .. that does not mean he is one to watch ... if they will watch on him they will forget a lot of great players we have... let Pavičić space because you want to close Pamić and you will get answer which you would not like. We have quality and i hope my players will show it today against Groningen.
About how we prepared... we worked a lot with pushing the ball ... we also working on teamwork and we train hard, i want to keep my players focused till end of match and than we will go look the town... we are here to do the job first than enjoy, hopefully with good result.
You sayed you belive you can get trough group stage, are you still optimistic about it?
I never sayed that, but we must be optimistic... its going to be hard and i obviously we are in hard group ... we will need hard work and luck... now i must go training and talk with players... i also want to say thanks supporters and fans for coming so far to watch and help us.
