So why Chelsea?

  • Well, I support Chelsea so I was having a game with them.
  • I decided that I would write a story for this save during my 10th season, having also been a long time admirer of Randy's Manchester United save, and I would like to reach thirty years at Chelsea

  • So who actually am I?

    Name: Joe Dowley
    Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 20/05/87 (25 years old)
    Nationality: English
Personal Information: In the football world, nobody would know my name. As a player, I was involved in many tournaments as a 14 year-old, even being scouted for many top Premier League clubs. I picked up my Continental B License from the FA while coaching my local Under 12's.

    An old shirt of mine

However, I do have a friendship with Frank Lampard, and I got involved with the club.

Now, this is different to the parks where I coached.
    Good luck :P
Nice Start mate and good luck!

    What have they done?

    Dan Smith - BBC Sport:
    Alex Taylor - ESPN:
    Jim White - Sky Sports:

Today in West London, media and press from all across the world congregated for an announcement regarding the future of Chelsea Football Club. Two seats were set up, equipped with microphones prepared to speak to the waiting press. There were rumours that it was a new signing of Chelsea, possibly Colombian striker Falcao who the club were so heavily linked with.

I would like to welcome you all here today regarding a very important matter for the club. I would like you all to welcome Joe Dowley, as he will be a major part of these announcements today. I would also like to announce my resignation from Chelsea, but I would like no questions about it please.

I walked into the room, followed by the club's press officer, to a sea of confused faces. Around 40 cameramen and reporters began to think about what had just happened.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I think that we will take questions now.

Dan Smith from BBC Sport. Roberto, I normally run things for lower league clubs, and I know a fair bit about them, but I have never come across Joe's name before. Why Joe?

Well Dan, this may be true, but we have a lot of faith in the choice of our new manager. He may not be up there in terms of achievement, but in terms of skill and knowledge, I am surprised Joe has never been noticed before.

Alex Taylor from ESPN. Joe, how does it feel taking over at this club, which has been so successful in recent years. What are your aims for the new season ahead? Surely you are under a lot of pressure to perform well?

I just can't believe it really. I have always had a friendship with our midfielder Frank Lampard and when he got me in touch with the board the club became interested in me. Since them, we have been in talks. I just can't believe it though, the club that I have supported since I was a child. My aims are to win, and I'll say it now: We will win everything!

Jim White from Sky Sports. Joe, considering the fact that I am the king of all transfer news, would you be willing to slip a hint of some of your potential signings for this summer?

Well Jim, all I will say is that I would like to make a few additional signings to our youth setup here, as well as a couple of first-team additions.

After almost an hour of continued questioning, the press conference drew to a close. Newspapers and websites were buzzing: What have they done at Chelsea?

Today, I, Josh Farnham, will be going over the 2012/13 season with Chelsea manager Joe Dowley.

So Joe, how does it feel to have lead Chelsea to winning all trophies possible?

It feels great really, I said it from my first press conference when I was announced as manager of this fantastic club. It was great to only lose twice during the whole season, losing the Community Shield to a very strong Manchester City side, and to Tottenham in the first month of the season. To go unbeaten from that point on was unbelievable.

And what was it like being left with such a good team from previous managers?

Well the team was fantastic, they deserve so much credit for their work, but of course I think that I helped. They were my tactics that I trained the team on and it worked clearly.

    Any plans for next season?

At the moment, its just to do the same as we did before.
