Notes
A very promising pre season, unbeaten throughout the team shown good aspects in both attack and defence. Messi, Sanchez and Neymar consistently on the score sheet as well as Pique grabbing two goals. With all new signings playing in the Man City game only shown they settled straight away with a 3-2 win against the english champions. Looking forward to the season ahead.
Piqué grabbing a hat trick! Nice!

Thanks pal!
Those signings are class. Shaarawy is one of my fav players on FM and I recommend going after Agustin Allione. He becomes world class at a very young age if he plays regularly...good job shifting Pedro! A very different update style but it looks good mate! Maybe an update on your tactics would be good

Champions League Group Draw

Notes
A very pleasing month, on all accounts. Two wins in the league, a 3-0 win against Valladolid and a 2-0 win against Villarreal shown that the team has gelled despite the new transfers. The results left Barcelona 3rd in the table on goal difference and seen Martino get his first competitive victory. The Supercopa came next for Martino's men and that put Barcelona up against strong opposition in Atletico Madrid. The first away leg put Barcelona in a 1 goal lead with a Messi goal. Then the new signings came into play to win Martino his first trophy as boss, as El Shaarawy and Carlos Fierro scored two goals to see Barcelona win the cup with a 3-0 aggregate win. The Champions League draw seen Barca be drawn against a strong group as always in the tournament. Napoli, Shakhtar and Leverkusen will be the teams to beat if Barcelona want to win the tournament again.

Barcelona Tactics Revealed

After the first few successful games for Martino and Barcelona we can now reveal how they are willing to play. With 4 at the back including two wing backs, a defensive midfielder, 2 playmakers in the middle, 2 wingers and a striker. With Xavi captain and Puyol vice captain there is plenty of experience in the side to help with the young shoulders of Neymar, El Shaarawy, Wilshere and Ter Stegen. Barcelona look to play attacking/controlling football at a high tempo and will press more when the opposition have the ball. Barcelona look to play very expressive with thousands of short passes every game. With Messi not being a natural striker as such, Neymar will be in a inside forward role to help the goals flow.

Notes
A draw against Valencia spurred on Barcelona which helped them demolish teams in the next games. Starting with a 6-0 win against Malaga, 3-0 wins against rivals Real Madrid and Shakhtar, and 4-0 wins against Atletico Madrid, Almeria and Valencia. Messi has been in great scoring form grabbing an amazing 3 hat-tricks. The first El Clásico was a success for Martino with a 3-0 victory for Barcelona. Neymar, El Shaarawy, Fierro, Wilshere and Alba all got their first goals for the club. Barcelona look comfortable at the top of both the league and Champions League tables and are hunting for more trophies to add to the collection.
Loving the story so far! Like all the details and the layout :) and great results also!
