Notes
The form continues for Martino! Only one defeat up until December in which Barcelona won the game on aggregate.
Straight wins in the Liga BBVA saw Barcelona only concede one goal in 8 games and score more than two in each game. After a few penalty misses by Messi, the role was switched to Neymar by Martino which proved successful as he scored 4, with El Shaarawy getting one too. They key game being that of which Barcelona beat local rivals Espanyol 3-0, with two of those Neymar penalties. The run left Barcelona top of the league, 3 points and 10 goals in front of main rivals Real Madrid. Messi is second in the goalscoring chart behind Benzema, and Neymar is 5th with 10 goals. Pique has the best average rating in the league with 8.11. Also, Messi and Neymar are joint top of the assists chart with 8 each.
The Spanish Super cup seen the most difficult games for Martino, despite a 9-2 aggregate win against Valencia the cup was no stroll. The 5th round seen Barcelona drawn against El Clasico rivals Real Madrid where the first game seen a 4-2 victory for Real, Neymar scoring in the 92nd minute to keep Barca in it. The second leg was much easier for Barca infront of the Nou Camp crowd seen Barcelona go 2-0 in the first half. Martino's men held on to the lead and seen Neymars goal decisive as Barcelona went through on away goals.
The Champions League campaign for Barcelona was much easier for Martino seeing all 6 games being won to top the Group. Barcelona scored an amazing 20 in the 6 games and only conceded 2. The highlight of the group being a 5-1 victory against Leverkusen with a hat-trick from Fabregas of the bench.

End of 2012 Brings More Trophies To Barcelona

The end of year awards have been announced for 2012 and it's more success for Barcelona and it's players.

New boy Neymar was named European Golden Boy for his 16 goals in 29 games with a rating of 7.54. The 20 year old left winger also grabbed 11 assists and deserves the award.

A massive 6 Barcelona players were selected in the squad for the World Team of the Year. Alba, Mascherano, Pique, Fabregas and Messi were selected in the first XI and Neymar was named among the substitutes. A shock inclusion for Fabregas who has been on the bench for most of the season, also many were surprised that Alba got chosen.
Not all the awards went Barcelona's way as Ronaldo was selected infront of Lionel Messi for two awards.

There's no stopping Tata! Other than that defeat against Real Madrid of course ;) Excellent results
