So, I have decided to start a new save with Dagenham and Redbridge. I was getting bored with the Norwich save so I decided to change. Hopefully more people will notice this one, and I can take it further than my Norwich save

Burnett leaves Daggers to join Crawley

The Dagenham and Redbridge faithful are in utter and complete shock after their manager Wayne Burnett has decided to leave the club to join Crawley Town. One Daggers fan had this to say on the matter "What a complete shambles and utter disgrace". When pushed a reporter Wayne Burnett had a something to say about the club "I am so sorry to the Dagenham fans that it has come so soon, but I couldn't turn down this amazing opportunity that Crawley has presented me with" This now leaves Dagenham without a manager but as always there is speculation with who it could be. The names going around are Alan Shearer, Michael Owen,Gary Linekar and Richard Hammond. With the start of the season being so close Dagenham must hurry up and choose their manager.

Is Richard Hammond The New Manager At Dagenham?

Richard Hammond was seen walking out of Dagenham's training ground today. Insiders think he has been to talk to Dagenham's chairman about the vacant managers role at the club. These sudden events have had a mixed reception from the Dagenham fans. One fan said "This is a great move by the club to gain income by getting a celebrity like Richard Hammond to join the club- a brilliant move" However another fan said "A rubbish decision by the club, this man knows nothing about managing a football club I have wasted my money on a season ticket for a clown, terrible.. So, it seems if Hammond is appointed his first job will be winning over some fans, We will just have to wait, to see what happens next!

Richard Hammond-The New Dagenham Manager

R: Richard, you sit here as the new manager of Dagenham and Redbridge how does it feel?

RH: It feels really good, this is my first managers role and I can't wait to get started!

R: Some fans are saying you don't have enough experience to be a manager how will you prove them wrong?

RH: Actually, I am an avid fan of the beautiful game I watch it with the boys all the time. I may not have been a manager but I know the game inside out and hopefully I can prove that here.

R: Do you get time to watch the game with you having such a fast-paced lifestyle?

RH: That was a good joke! But seriously I watch it on Sky Go all the time.

R: What do you intend to do here at Dagenham?

RH: I intend to reshape the club from top to bottom, I will bring success to Dagenham, we will be a force that teams will be frightened of.

R: That we be all for today, we hope you have a long and successful career at Dagenham

RH: Thankyou!

"Today I took control of my first training session here at Dagenham, I was amazed to see so many young, bright players we have. I have a list of just some of the key players that will help our push this season!

Key Players

Chris Lewington - Goalkeeper

Scott Doe - Defender

Abu Ogogo - Defender

Femi Ilesanmi - Defender

Luke Wilkinson - Defender

Luke Howell - Midfielder

Matthew Saunders - Midfielder

Capital One Cup 1ST Round Draw

As you can see we got hard draw in the COC, even though we are at home Bournemouth are a very good side and we will have to perform to the best of our abilities to get a win.

Kits For The 2012/2013 Season!

- Home Kit

- Away Kit

Hammond Makes First Signings as Dagenham Manager

Junior Agogo - Striker Free
Even though he is not that young, he can offer a great deal to us. He can hold up the ball, hassle defenders, create chances. Maybe even pop one in himself from time to time. To get him for free is a bargain

Martin Lejsal - Goalkeeper Free
Martin is a brilliant keeper, and a great addition to the club. He will definitely be my first choice keeper for the forthcoming season

Eric Addo - Defender/Defensive Midfielder Free
Eric is also a great addition to the club, he can offer great defensive qualities which we will greatly need if we want to get promoted
Why is your away kit the same colour as your home kit?
The Scouse Assassin- Becuase I'm awkward. Also I like the colour red!
Seems legit...

Good story so far, I feel the kits are too similar, but good signings so far...try signings up Bowerman from Walsall, good young striker..

Good luck for the rest of the season

Walsall_Craig - Thank you! I will try and sign Bowerman too! Thanks for the advice

Hammond's View

We had a shocking pre-season it has to be said, but i'm not bothered because it counts for nothing. It is just a way so players can get their match fitness ready for the season. Hopefully we can improve for the season and push up the league.

Capital One Cup 2ND Round Draw

We have been handed a really tough away game at Queens Park Rangers. Although it will be tough, we could pull of a shock result.
