Terry Butcher wins manager of the month award

Terry Butcher takes manager of the month award for August after winning his first 4 Premier League matches to give him a 100% record for the month with an outstanding 1-0 victory at champions Celtic and a comfortable 3-0 home win over Inverness to leave Hibs sitting at the top of the league.
September review

Hibs started poor in September and Butcher's 100% start was gone in the first match of the month as he saw his side fall to a 1-0 defeat at Motherwell. Hibs then made the long trip North to Dingwall to take on Ross County but Hibs left empty handed again with another 1-0 away loss. Hibs bounced back brilliantly in the next match in the league with a 5-2 home hammering of Dundee United and were looking for revenge against Ross County in the League Cup but were put out on their own patch by Ross County after falling to a late goal and a 3-2 defeat.

All in all a poor month for Butcher and Hibernian as they fall from top to 4th in the league and out of the League Cup. They will be looking to bounce back in October immediately with the fans favourite Edinburgh derby away at Tynecastle before travelling again North to Aberdeen. Hibs then finish the month with three home games against Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Celtic.

Haha, yeah they were poor results for us against Hearts and Malmo. That won't happen under Butcher though ;)
LIVE EDINBURGH DERBY UPDATES COMING UP
GOAL! Hearts take the lead in the Edinburgh derby after just 2 minutes! McGivern gave the ball away in a dangerous area and Callum Paterson made him pay with a drilled effort from the edge of the box. Not the start Butcher or Hibs had in mind... Hearts 1-0 Hibernian.
GOAL! Hibs hit back immediately! In swinging corner from David Wotherspoon is met on the head by Paul Hanlon who powers it home from 6 yards. Excellent reply from Hibs and Terry Butcher is clearly ecstatic on the touchline... Hearts 1-1 Hibernian.
SUBSTITUTION: Callum Paterson replaced by Jamie Walker for Hearts following a strong challenge from Ryan McGivern. Revenge for capitalising on his early error as the Edinburgh derby begins to get dirty.
GOAL! Hibernian have turned this game on it's head and it's that man Paul Hanlon again! Identical to his first as Wotherspoon's corner was met at the front post by Hanlon who found himself unmarked and he guided it home to give Hibs the lead in the Edinburgh derby and the away end is bouncing... Hearts 1-2 Hibernian.
HALF TIME: Hearts 1-2 Hibernian.
GOAL! Hearts equalise! McHattie's throw was flicked on by Novikovas and John Sutton got away from James McPake far too easily and he placed it low past Cammy Bell. Terry Butcher is furious with the defensive error that lets Hearts back into the derby... Hearts 2-2 Hibernian.

GOAL! Hibs go ahead once more through Kris Boyd! Boyd's terrific goal scoring form continues after Hibs hit Hearts on a quick counter attack through Richie Foran's long run down the line before a lovely reverse ball to Pele and he flashed it across the face of goal and Boyd was there to tap it home... Hearts 2-3 Hibernian.
