Luís Figo - A Gunner!

I generally like to play counter-attacking football, something like Mourinho in real life, this is how I played with Sporting, but with Atletico I didn't have time to implement my strategy so I didn't change much about how they were playing, only we get more offensive.

Champions League Final

Well, I didn't expect that. Before the game I was very skeptic, I expected a heavy loss. I knew they are better, they have great players and we had luck to get to the final. They dominated us, just like it was expected, but thanks to a great counter attack in the 5 minute, Arda scored an we lead 1-0. Just before the half time, Manchester City got relaxed, waiting for the end of the first half. In minute 44, we had a corner. Alderweireld raises an scores like a giant!
I am so proud and happy for the players, it is a great moment for us! I wanna show you a few photos with our fans celebrating on the streets of Madrid, thanks to them we played so well:

June: fixtures & results

Liga BBVA

Thanks to last performances, we managed to end on 6th place, which was the objective, to qualify for Europa League! But, thanks to our win in the Champions League final, we are qualified for Champions League next season!

Overall, a very good season since my arrival, I am pleased with the performances. But now will begin the hard work, we will probably need to sell the most of our players to resolve club's finances problems, so we are on reconstruction!

Well, this is a big shock! Monaco relegated...It seems that even all the money in the world can't bring performance in football.

New staff

The old staff wasn't the best and they were earning very much, so I decided that I will form my own staff from former great players that retired recently and this is my new staff:

Scouting Team

So, the scouts, fitness coaches and physios are not former players, I signed the best scouts that I could and that would accept a small wage.(the last 2 attributes shown in the picture are JPA and JPP)

Again, I signed the best physios available who would accept a small wage.(the last attribute shown in the picture is Physioteraphy)

Attacking coaches:

Sergio Pellissier - he was a great striker, almost all his carrer he played for Chievo, scoring 136 goals in 473 games. I hope he will teach our strikers his deadly finishing.

Francesco Totti - everyone knows who is Totti.He played all his career at AS Roma, scoring 217 goals in 522 games.He is one of the greatest italian strikers in history, so I expect him to show our players how easy is to score

Defending coaches:

Juan - he was a central defender who played for Brazil national squad 80 games. He has great experience and he is glad to share it with our players.

Gary Neville - he was maybe, Manchester United's greates right back in history, hi was absolutly briliant in defensive,great tackling and marking skills

Tehnique coaches:

Andrea Pirlo - everybody knows Pirlo..a grea passer, great free kick taker, great tehnique, great leader! Great is the word to describe this player!

Marco Di Vaio - Juventus paid for him 30 mln euros to buy him from Parma. he played 546 games in his career, scoring 216 goals.

Tactic coaches:

Damien Duff - Chelsea payed for him 27 mln euros, to buy him rom Blackburn.545 games played, 74 goals and 72 assists in his career. He was very disciplinated tacticaly and he wants to be a great tactician in the future.

Raffaele Palladino - He was a striker, not a great striker, but he did his job quite well.Since he retired, he spend a lot of time reading and learning everything about tactics.

Mental coaches:

Javier Zanetti - you surely need a great mental to play until 42 years at the highest level.He played 145 games for Argentina national team, he played for Inter 20 years and I think he is the player with the most games played for Inter.He was also the captain of Inter a lot of years.

Dennis Rommedahl - he was one of the Denmark biggest players, a very quick right wing who has a lot of assists in his career.

Youth Staff

He was a great midfielder and a great scorer in the same time. He wants to be a part of youth setup, helping players to develope great.
It is a great start for a young manager, who is at the begining of his career, to manage a youth team.
A former spanish international, a great central defender who played years for Real Madrid.

Director of Football

he was a great serbian striker, very tall having more than 2 meters, he was deadly with the headings!

Assistant Coach

Now the big surprise, my new Assistant Coach is the one an only, Ronaldinho! Former winner of Golden ball award, one of teh greatest players this planet will ever see!

Atletico De Madrid team presentation for season 2015/16

I will be presenting you the squad for the next season and also the transfer fees for the players. As you will see, the team is almost a new one, with very much new young players, great prospects for the future!

Goalkeepers

Full Backs

We spent on Ntobo only 1.8 mln euros, it was a great deal. We signed him from Kaizer Chiefs. He will be a backup for Azpilicueta.

De Sciglio will be used as a left back.We payed for De Sciglio 13.5 mln euros, signing him from AC Milan.

Central Defenders

At only 17 years old, Gramaccia is a great prospect! We signed him as a free agent.

Central Midfielders

We signed Leon Goretzka from Shalke for a fee of 17 mln euros. It was an expensive deal, but my opinion is that he worths every euro spent on him! He will become one of the best players in the world. he is my bet for this new team.

Moritz Leitner was bought from Dortmund for 11.75 mln euros. He is a very good player and it's special because he can play anywhere in the middle.

This is our best player!Too bad that he got injuried in the preseason and will be out for aound 3-4 months.


I signed Ianis because I think he is one of the best young players in the world. i worked with him at Sporting and I know what he can do.We payed for Ianis 1.5 mln euros.

maybe you will think it is a joke, but it isn't! We signed him for a fee of 500 euros! Yes, 500 euros, this was his release clause!We will transform him in a central midfielder.

Wingers

We signed him as a free agent. I think he is a great backup!

Another free agent we signed for backuping our wingers.

We signed Kovacevic as a free agent at the end of contract with Hamburg. I can't understand why would you leave a so talented player without a contract. I bet that I will make of him a great left winger!

Strikers

Ciro was signed as a free agent.

Tactics

This is the tactic we will use this season. Every player has his own instruction, so if someone want's to see a player instruction, leave a comment and I will show you.

156 millions - this is what I call business

After recieving 156 million euros and only spending 46 millions, now we have very healty finances, and I bet that this young team, in 2 or 3 seasons can win La Liga!

JOFFRE GUERRON!!! Knew him from my FM12 save with Botafogo he was always a thorn in my side. Btw, that is a beastly looking squad, how did you get all those players?!

What do you mean by how did I got them? I send scouts looking after players and they camed with this players os I signed them, I don't know how else to answer at your question

Preseason

Houston 1 - 2 At. Madrid

This was our first friendly of the season and we didn't perform well.But I can't understand, it's a new team. A lot of new players and the strategy wasn't yet completly done to suit this players.

At. Madrid 2 - 3 Salamanca

This time we played better, it is clear that our young players start knowing each others, I think that things are going in a good direction.

At.Madrid 4 - 0 Toledo

It was a great game and a great performance by the players. 57% possesion, 27 shots and 17 on goal, too bad that we miss so much.

Rayo Majadahonda 0 - 3 At. Madrid

Again a great performance and again we are missing to many opportunities. I would say that we are ready for the begining of the new season, we will play our firs game against Sevilla, a very hard game.

European Super Cup Winner season 2015-2016: Tottenham Hotspur

Since we were preparing the game, I knew it would be a hard game.They have Soldado, Coentrao, Lamela, Eriksen and other very good players, with much more experience than our young team. But when we arrived at the stadium Mikheil Meskhi from Tbilisi, we felt something special, a nice feeling of relaxation, and we believed that we can win it! And I tell you, we were so close...but this are the penalty kick, it's just a lottery where someone has luck and the other one doesn't. The players also felt that they could win it, it is not a nice feeling losing a final, but we have the future in front of us and I believe that this players can win everything there is to be won!

August: fixtures & results

Sevilla 1 - 1 At. Madrid

It was a good game,solid performance and a draw is a good result, Sevilla finished 3rd place last season. Again Azpilicueta with a great performance, second game in a row winning the Man of the Match award

At. Madrid 1 - 0 Malaga

We won the game, a great result for us but in minute 82, a horrible tackle made by Dirk Marcellis and Cuenca is out for around 2 months. It is a big loss for us.

Deportivo 0 - 2 At. Madrid

This was a nice performance, it is great that we won and we have now 7 points from 3 tough games.A nice way to end a month, winning on Estadio Riazor.

Transfer window

Ronaldinho, my assistant coach told me one day at the training grounds that he feels that we need another defensive midfielder because we have to play so many games this season, so I decided that we will buy one. I sent Steve Rowley, the chief scout, to find me a defensive midfielder trained in spain, because of teh Champions League registration rules and he camed with a lot of players. The one i decided to sign is Oriol Romeu.He costed us 8 millions, but I am glad that he is polyvalent and he can play as central midfielder and central defender also.

The morning of the last day of the transfer window, I recieved a call from an old friend, Mircea Lucescu, the manager of Sahktar, and he told me that he has a very good player that wants to leave the club, so he transfer listed him. The player will cost us 14 millions and he called me, because he didn't want to see the player play for anybody, just for a good friend. I decided to sign him and I can say, we added anothe rworld class player to this team! He is perfect for our style of play.

I can say that we had huge luck at the draw, and we will face no problem qualifying from this group to the next stage!

Two great signings and nice use of the icons Unlucky in the UEFA Super Cup final but I am sure you can bounce back.

September: fixtures & results

Overall, it was a perfect month with great results. The players are starting to be very united, the are transforming in a "familly"! Youngsters are scoring goals, the more experienced players also are giving their best...I am proud of them, and of my staff!
The only bad thing is that another player, Hagi got injuried and now we have 4 players out.

Strong results - Betis are doing very week.
