I formed around the players I have at my disposal and how I believe Arsenal should play in real life

WENGER: ARSENAL WILL SPEND

Arsenal’s director and former manager Arsene Wenger has ensured that Arsenal will spend a significant amount of money if the right players emerge.

The Gunners enter the 2013/14 season as league champions and are expected to spend more money on new players knowing that fringe players such as Nicklas Bendtner and Marouane Chamakh are set to leave.

“We have a title to defend and we will naturally bolster the team. Everybody around us will reinforce after being left outside a surprise top 2 of us and Tottenham so we will have to
follow.

“As always we will only sign players of high calibre under suitable circumstances but we are comfortable with the resources we have and are ready to defend our title.

“The board have worked closely with Thierry (Henry) and outlined what we believe to be genuine potential targets and will make a move in due course.”
Congrats on winning the league, unlucky to lose in the CL final though. It will be your's to win next year!

SAGNA EXTENDS STAY

Bacary Sagna has a new three year deal to extend his stay at the Emirates until the summer of 2016.

The Frenchman had entered his final year of his contract with Arsenal which was due to expire in June 2014 but Arsenal boss Thierry Henry moved in quickly with negotiations.

Sagna, who will earn £94,000 per week, signed for Arsenal in 2007 from Auxerre for a fee of £3 million with add-ons and has been ever present in the Arsenal side.

Now at the age of 30, Sagna was crowned Premier League champion last season which may have proved enough for him to snub offers from French magnates PSG and AS Monaco in order to stay in North London.
He's getting on a bit though isn't he? :P

TWO OUT THE DOOR

Arsenal has announced the departures of Abou Diaby and Lukasz Fabianksi to AS Monaco and Watford.

Diaby has joined Monaco for a fee of £5.5 million after spending last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen where he impressed the Germans.

Leverkusen came in for the Frenchman but Monaco offered almost double of what they could.

Diaby struggled to remain fit as an Arsenal player and sees a spell of seven and a half years as an Arsenal player end.

Watford also confirmed the transfer of Lukasz Fabianksi for £2.1 million pounds as the Polish keeper searches for first team football at the newly promoted side ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
5.5M for an Injury Prone player like him seems like a good deal. :)

ARSENAL LOAN OUT WONDERKIDS

Arsenal has loaned out Thomas Eisfeld for the remainder of the season to Werder Bremen after his impressive stint last season.

Eisfeld represented Nurnberg last year and was very impressive throughout the Bundesliga calendar, subsequently earning him another loan move back to his homeland.

The 20 year old will be joined by Danish wizkid Lucas Andersen on Arsenal’s loanee list after Newcastle agreed terms.

Andersen joined the Gunners in January for £3m from Ajax and has been given the chance of first team football at St. James’ Park.

ROSICKY JOINS TOFFEES

Tomas Rosicky has signed for Everton after Arsenal agreed to sell him for £5 million.

Rosicky’s contract was up at the end of the season and Arsenal boss Thierry Henry decided it was time to cash in on the 32 year old.

The Czech Republican signed for Arsenal back in 2006 but so a heavy spell of injuries affect his Arsenal career and he has thanked the Gunners for their support.

“I’m very fortunate to have gone to a team like Arsenal on the back of great support at Dortmund. I start a new chapter, maybe my final one now at Everton and I am very grateful for what Arsenal has done for me.

“I had many injuries and many clubs around the world would have let me go but Arsenal stuck by me all the way and I’m glad I could help bring a title back to them.”
