MOURINHO SLAMS ARSENAL

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has branded top of the league Arsenal as “predictable” after another month of result variations.

Thierry Henry’s side still sit top of the table but suffered a heavy defeat by Celtic in the Champions’ League after losing to Mourinho’s Chelsea in the FA Cup semis and letting Spurs creep into the title race.

This has prompted the Portuguese boss to question the North Londoners, declaring he’s not convinced.

“They started fantastically with Henry this season but as the season goes on, ot gets tougher and tougher and Arsenal have no plan B.

“They are too predictable now and were quite easy to play against. Can they turn their form around like us or Manchester United has in the past? I don’t think so. They are not winners to me.”

Henry has refused to comment directly although in his own way recognises comments were expected.

“When you are 1st, you become relevant and people will talk about you in a positive or negative way. It happens. I am more concerned about our next game.”
The Special One is up to it again!

HENRY SEALS NEW DEAL

Thierry Henry has signed a new five year deal with Arsenal following speculation the Gunner’s boss was not going to stay beyond this season.

The Frenchman’s position was reportedly being assessed after a dip of form and harsh comments from the likes of Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho but Arsenal chairman Bob Wilson has rubbished those claims by handing Henry a fresh contract.

Henry’s contract is believed to last until 2018 with wages of around £85,000 a week and the Arsenal legend has declared his delight at the extension.

“I’m very happy that Arsenal has trusted me in this position for the amount of time in the contract. I couldn’t see me manage anywhere else like here.

“This is my home. I love this club and I will fight until the very end. We have had a fantastic season so far and I acknowledge that by our standards we have not been good enough recently.

“I ask for a little patience from all, not necessarily fans. I’m 35 years old and will continue to learn and improve beyond the expiry of this contract.”
Congrats! :P

ARSENAL SEAL LEAGUE TITLE

Arsenal has been crowned the Barclays Premier League champions of 2012/13 following a routine 3-0 win versus Norwich at the Emirates.

The Gunners had let city rivals Tottenham Hotspur hope they could win the title but two consecutive wins and Spurs’ 1-1 draw versus Stoke City hands the red half of North London the trophy with two games to spare.

Thierry Henry, who has been on the back end of some pressure in recent weeks, has started his month in phenomenal fashion after signing a new deal with Arsenal, overturning a 3-0 deficit to guide Arsenal into the Champions’ League final and winning the league in his first year of management.

“Football changes at such a pace which is like nothing in this world. A few weeks ago we weren’t at our best and were being targeted by critics, and now we win the league and are in the Champions’ League final.

“This is an incredible day for me and one I will never forget. I’m so pleased to bring the first League title to the Emirates.”
Wow, that is an insane achievement. Congratulations!
