Bale to United?
Recent reports have surfaced claiming that Gareth Bale is on Moyes radar... Again! The Welsh Wizard, who secured PFA Young Player of the Year, the PFA Players' Player of the Year and the FWA Footballer of the Year awards was linked heavily to some of Europes biggest clubs, including both Real Madrid and Manchester United throughout the summer, with Tottenham earlier turning down a bid in the region of £65m from Real Madrid.
It is believed that Moyes is very confident of getting his man, despite Bale signing a new contract which sees him earn around of £130,000 a week plus bonus fees. Bale stated that the main reason to him signing the new deal was because Tottenham shared his ambitions, and that both the manager and squad were good enough to challenge for the title - Spurs currently find themselves in in 8th place. It is believed that Tottenham would consider cashing in on the winger if they fail to reach their objective of Champions League, and Bale is said he is ready to hand in a transfer request in order to move to a new club and has kept his options open.
Manchester United believe they can get their man for a region of £35m and Wilfried Zaha, however Zaha is said to have ruled out a move to Tottenham, claiming that if he were to move, it would either be to Tottenhams rivals, Arsenal, or back to Crystal Palace.
If United were to sign Bale, then it would most likely see Zaha leave the club, who has not made the greatest impact thus far into the new season. Crystal Palace are believed to be front runners for Zaha, and would make a club record offer of £10m to do so.
