October/November

We have been very disappointing and we now find ourselves right in a relegation scrap.

We started with a run of defeats but the 2 wins we got will help us against relegation. In January I will rebuild a squad and that is risky but I hope it will keep us up.

League Table

We sit just outside of the relegation places so we need to improve if we are to survive.
Right guys this save has just stopped working and has become corrupt. I am deeply saddened but I want to continue writing for you guys straight away. I am thinking of Man City, Arsenal or another Premier League Top half team. I am so sorry guys I have tried all night to get this save file back but it just wont load at all. Sorry. Post what team I should be down below out of the 3 options if you want me to start a new great story.
Damn. i wanted to see you mix it with the big teams in the Prem, but now that' not going to happen :( Good luck in your journey with the old lady :)
Hi guys I want to say thank you for this support on the story. It was great but also a miracle has happened. I can open the save :D:D. Would anybody like me to start a new story with them where it is left off. I want to as I just tried it and It is back on..... Its up to you guys. Shall I carry on with the Spitfires as I really miss it and the support was great.

Thanks mate. Lets get back to it. I need to have time to get used to the squad again but n a couple of hours the save will be up again.

2nd Half of the Season

As some of you may know I can open the save and I want to continue it. I have the second half of the season results ready but prepare yourselves. They are not good. Here they are.

We had an awful time. We had 2 good runs but they were not enough and unfortunately the inevitable happened…

We were relegated. This was hard to take but the story will start up again as I prepare to enter league 1 and continue the rise of EASTLEIGH FC!!!!!
Only 2 points behind Blackpool, relegation must be hard to take. I hope you can bounce straight back!

It is. This is only a minor setback and I will rebuild the squad and start again.

Eastleigh-The Rise-Recap

Some of you may not have been here for this story but the journey was epic and I had so much fun.
It all started in 2012. I was hired at Eastleigh and we started off really well. We won promotion and all because of one player. Oskar Martin. A Spanish striker who signed for £26K and became a club legend. The club was in financial crisis and Peter Jones came and saved the club and gave me enough to be a competitive force. Another season came and went and we fell just short of the play offs in the BSP but we bounced back the next season to dominate the league and win promotion.
We then entered League 2 and we were predicted to finish bottom but we defied the odds and we won promotion into League 1. We again defied the odds and won promotion into the Championship and we were on the up.
The next season saw us struggle and we were relegated back into league 1. The story will start up again here so here comes round 2 of Eastleigh FC-The Rise….

Wells-I’m sorry

Eastleigh manager Matt Wells has made a motivational speech to the fans and players at Eastleigh fc. Matt called all of the fans and players to the Silverlake stadium to make his announcement to the fans:
“Many of you are wondering why you are here. Many of you think I am leaving. Many of you think I am going to ditch you and leave you to dry. No! I am going to rebuild the team and start afresh. We have been dreadful this season and I’m not the only one to think that. We have been through so much as a family here and I want to be loyal to you and get the club promoted. I am the one that will always stay loyal to this club and I will be the one to bring success to this town. The club has great fans and a great spirit and I will build on that to taker this club forward. I will be staying at the club until we have risen as high as we can. I have spoken to Peter Jones and he has given me the backing and support that I need to win promotion. It will be hard but I believe in this team and I want to take the club to the top. We have had legends retire this season but we can move on and keep going forward, as a team. We will get there and I will be here with this club no matter what happens. I know the board are not happy with relegation but I think it can be good for the club. We can rebuild and regroup with a new team and a new vision. This is for you the fans. Thank you.”

A round of applause followed and I stepped down from the podium and headed home to draw up plans for next season.

Peter Jones- We will Recover

Eastleigh FC owner Peter Jones has made a rallying statement to the fans of the club. The Dragon Den star took over the club in 2013 and has since used his money wisely to upgrade the stadium and invest heavily in new players. The club were recently relegated but the owner wanted to make his own call to bring the supporters into the club again’

“It is hard being where we are. We are located next to Portsmouth and Southampton, two heavily supported teams. We are bigger than Portsmouth now but we want to be even bigger. Being relegated is a setback, yes. But in the long run it will do the club good. I do invest a lot into the club but there is not a endless pit of money so we try to the self-sustainable as much as we can. This also means another year playing away from the Silverlake while it is being expanded again. We will play at Fratton Park and we are grateful to Portsmouth FC for the gesture. I have a good relationship with Matt Wells and we get on well. If he wants something then I will work to give it to him. I am giving him a lot of cash to spend this summer to reach the Championship again. Then we want to stay there and build a team ready for the Premier League. We know that it will be hard but we work hard here and our time will come. Matt has won 4 trophies here and we want him to succeed more so I will back him 100%. We will be having a big summer clear-out with some top earners leaving and deadwood being moved on. The growth in this club has been fantastic and we are not far away from glory now so we now want to have a successful season and win promotion”.

Eastleigh Players Shown Door

It is a tough time for footballers as some are out of contract with their clubs. That means they will not be paid and may have to drop down divisions or call it a day. Eastleigh FC have released 7 first team players in an attempt to clear the squad of deadwood and ageing players:
Matt Doherty,
Corrin Brooks-Meade,
Stephane Zubar,
Domanique Pandor,
Jernade Meade,
Brandon Ormonde-Ottweill and
Ben McKenna, have all been shone the door and Manager Matt Wells will be happy that some of these players have been shown the door and will need to find new clubs.

Eastleigh strike Nike Deal

Eastleigh FC have announced that they will be sponsored by Nike. The new deal will provide big money investment into the club with reports of £5M a year coming into the club from Nike.
They also believe that the deal will increase reputation with players as they want to play with the best equipment and the fans want the best kit manufactures.
The club will play with the Nike Hi-Vis ball for the 18/19 season and it will contain the club badge on the ball.
The team will also have new training tops that match the team’s colours and will be available for fans to buy later on.
A spokesperson for the club said that this was a great business deal and it will help bring more money into the club from sponsorship and sales.
