Nice update. Although you said -
The Portuguese winger is hopeful a spell in the Portuguese league can earn him the recognition to get him into Portugal’s Euro 2014 squad.

The World Cup is in 2014, the next European Championships is in 2016. Sorry to be picky.

Pizzi was good for me at Atletico - Don't know who Diego Rocha is
Nice signings, especially Pizzi. Strong winger and portuguese.

Yeah Thank you. I'm looking to get some Portuguese players in with potential as I think it will be beneficial for us to compete against Benfica and Porto in 1 or 2 years
Great signing in Pizzi, he'll be a very important player for you for quite awhile :D

SPORTING MAKE THIRD TRANSFER

Sporting have today completed the transfer of Estoril left back Jefferson for a fee of £300k.

The Brazilian is expected to become a fundamental part of the first team following Emiliano Insua’s departure last season to Atletico Madrid and Joaozinho’s return to relegated Beira Mar following the end of his loan move.

Jefferson was a key member of Estoril’s team last season and helped them finish higher up the table than expected.

Sporting fans will now hope the cheap signing can continue to impress in the upcoming season as ‘Os Leoes’ eye a revival.
When I saw the pic I thought you had signed Lucho Gonzalez XD Hopefully for you these bargain signings will really step up to the plate and make a difference.
Transfer fees are so small - What's your budget?

They seem to be better than what I have already and cheaper so hopefully. Saving a bit here and there for a stellar signing hopefully. We are not just a team now, we are a business.

AGRA RETURNS TO PORTUGAL

Real Betis winger Salvador Agra has agreed to sign for Sporting after a lack of first team opportunities.

At the age of 20, Agra joins ‘Os Leoes’ for £500k after failing to impress in Andalusia and now returns back to Portugal.

The Portugal Under-21 international previously played for Sporting affiliate Olhanense and now becomes ‘Os Verde e Branco's’ 4th signing of the season with more believed to be on the way.
But..but...Agra is in India XD

SPORTING SIGN SENSATION

Alex Teixeira has completed a shock £8m move to Sporting from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The ex Vasco da Gama playmaker moved to the Ukrainian champions in 2009 but has now become the biggest transfer of the Portuguese window.

The Brazilian has penned a contract that will keep him at Alvalade until 2017, making him the 5th and most expensive signing for Sporting so far.
