What a superb batch of results, especially hammering Inter in the Derby, not to mention the ongoing success in europe at all levels :) Way to go!

NOVEMBER - STILL ON THE TOP...

A good month for us, that was November. We played 6 matches and, without looking at the last one at Santiago Bernabeu where we had no chances of obtaining even a draw, in the other ones we obtained 3 wins and 1 draw in the league, and a draw in Copa del Rey that let us go to the last 16. Outside the pitch, together with President Fidalgo, we agreed on a little renewal of the training facilities in order to go on with the rebuilding of Real Oviedo.

LIGA BBVA

Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo – November 2, 2014 – Day 10

Estadio de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas – November 8, 2014 – Day 11

Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo – November 16, 2014 – Day 12

Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo – November 22, 2014 – Day 13

Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid – November 30, 2014 – Day 14

A really good month. The victory against Sporting, in the derby, has of course been the most important for us and for the supporters (see here). Not a good result the draw against Espanyol, where we had to win looking at the match, while the defeat in Madrid was not so bad, as we fought for 70 minutes, before falling down conceding 2 goals in 5 minutes.

The table looks great! We are sixth, 10 points over the relegation zone. And only one beyond the Champions league one…

COPA DEL REY

Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo – November 26, 2014 – 4th Round, Leg 2

Not a great match, also due to the large turnover I did. Their late goal was not deserved , but the most important thing was to go straight to the last 16.

Our opponent in the following round will be Zaragoza, not the worst one that may occur as Barcelona, Real and Valencia were in the box.

MAN OF THE MONTH

ISSA YAMEOGO

I want to give my mention to Issa this month. He played some very good matches, ending with 5 goals in 4 matches he played. He did not start very well the season, and I hope this month will be the turn point of his year.

BOARD CONFIDENCE AND NEXT MONTH

The board is of course delighted by our performances, and the finances are benefiting of our results both in the league and in the cup.

The next month matches will be not that hard. Very important will be the two matches in Copa del Rey: we want the quarterfinals as the draw was good to us…

Ziechael: thanks mate! We are doing well... No doubt! :P

Yameogo looks special. Great month for Oviedo
KingPadster: well, he didn't start great this season. But he is coming back! :D
Well well well. Oviedo are flying! A tough loss to Barca and Madrid but they are one a different planet! You have excelled with the team though looking good for a push at Europe? Milan are just awesome the updates have been very very good to read mate good to catch up on it!

Yes mate, Madrid and Barca are from a different planet... But I hope to do slightly better at Nuevo Carlos Tartiere! :)

Thanks for having come back here! ;)

... and 200th post! Thanks to all that have read and commented the story! I didn't think to reach this achievement when I started the story... :D

P.S. Unfortunately, updates are a little bit slower in these days cause of some problems I had and still have... But I'm still here! ;)
Congratulation

Still quality updates.

I say drop that minor Italian team and concentrate on Real Oviedo.

DECEMBER – WORLD CHAMPIONS!

We are the Champions, my friends! We are the World Champions! This is what the final month of the year said… Defeating Cruzeiro in the World Club Championship final, we obtained our third trophy of the season, and this new title. I am really happy for my guys… And for myself, of course!

SERIE A

San Siro, Milano – December 6, 2014 – Day 16

Marcantonio Bentegodi, Verona – December 19, 2014 – Day 13 (catch up)

The Serie A month was reduced to only 2 matches for us, that we both won without conceding a goal.

The table says that, with one match to catch up against Cesena, we are still 2nd with potentially the same points of Juventus. We are still there to fight…

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

White Hart Lane, London – December 3, 2014 – Group F, Match 6

The unique Champions League match we had to play was the last one of the group, against Tottenham. We were badly defeated, in a match where I sent on the pitch many backups.

The victory of PSG against Fenerbache let the French obtain the second place in the group, 3 points beyond us. Despite the defeat, Fenerbache ranked 3rd and go to Europa League knockout rounds.

The draw selected Valencia as our next opponent. As in the box teams like Dortmund and Barcelona could have faced us, I am quite happy for what we obtained…

CLUB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Stade du Prince Moulay Abdallah, Rabat – December 11, 2014 – Semifinals

Stade du Prince Moulay Abdallah, Rabat – December 14, 2014 – Final

We were drawn to face the Korean side Seoul in the semifinals and we stepped over them with a confortable 3-0 victory, where Trasch scored his first goal of the season. Few hours before, Cruzeiro destroyed 5-0 Raja Casablanca, so that the Brazilian had to be our opponents in the final. We stepped also over them! Another 3-0 victory, with Falcao protagonist with two goals. We were World Champions!

COPPA ITALIA

San Siro, Milano – December 23, 2014 – 1st Round

Coppa Italia started for us in the last match of the month, just two days before Christmas. We faced Fiorentina and we defeated them with a very good performance.

The draw selected Napoli as our next opponent, with us being the home side for the clash.

MAN OF THE MONTH

FALCAO

My award to Radamel is a price for all the job he has done not only in this month, when he scored 4 times, 2 of which in the Club world Championship final, but for the great job he has done till now during the season. 22 goals in 18 appearances, with a 7.89 average rating: our star, without any doubt!

BOARD CONFIDENCE AND NEXT MONTH

With the board always very pleased with my job on the bench, our balance is increasing coming to be 143M€.

After the Christmas’ break, we are going to face an intense month with 6 matches. Objectives: the qualification to Coppa Italia’s semifinals and to be on the top at the end of January! I’m bored of seeing Juventus above us…

Northwood: mate, Milan is my team! The team I support! It's not 'a minor Italian team'! ;) Thanks for reading and commenting! :D

Paddy: thanks mate! :D

DECEMBER – ARE WE NEWCOMERS?!?

Looking at the league table and the Copa del Rey one, I am starting really to think that some season has to be passed since the one we have been promoted to the Liga… It is impossible to reach that results the first here you arrive in a first division! But that’s true mate: you are doing that!

LIGA BBVA

Riazor, A Coruna – December 7, 2014 – Day 15

Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo – December 14, 2014 – Day 16

El Madrigal, Villarreal – December 21, 2014 – Day 17

A good month in the league. We obtain two draws in the two away matches, never easy to play at Riazor or El Madrigal. Both were tough matches, with the one against Deportivo that was really strange: we took the lead two times, and they leveled in three minutes each time. In the only home match, we dominated Valladolid and came out with a 2-1 victory thanks to an Adrian’s double.

We are 5th in the league! I am not joking, I swear! I am swearing to myself, I know, because I cannot believe that…

COPA DEL REY

Nuevo Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo – December 10, 2014 – 5th Round, Leg 1

La Romareda, Zaragoza – December 17, 2014 – 5th Round, Leg 2

Two very hard matches! In leg 1 we should have scored the second goal, but we didn’t and we had to suffer in the second leg. Fortunately, a goal by Adrian made things better for us after 25 minutes and we managed to obtain the qualification to the quarterfinals!

Our results are really delighting our supporters, so that in the home match they filled the stadium and we obtained the largest gate receipts in our history!

A difficult draw. Yes, having Barcelona or Real Madrid would have been worse, but Granada is 4th at the moment and a very difficult side to face…

MAN OF THE MONTH

ADRIAN

This guy has started a little bit slower than I expected after his great pre-season, but know he is starting to be decisive for our side! 4 goals in 4 matches played during this last month of the year, all fundamental in the respective matches. If he goes on like this, I have a real craque in my team (thanks to my brother)!

BOARD CONFIDENCE AND NEXT MONTH

Confidence is still on the top! And I don’t think it can be otherwise looking at what we are doing… Finances are improving day by day, so that we can see almost 25M€ in our balance!

The new year will start hardly! Three matches against Granada in 11 days, in the middle the two Sevillan sides… And finally… Barcelona is coming to Nuevo Carlos Tartiere!

And now… Merry Christmas 2014 to everybody! And a happy new year to all!
€6,32 M p/a in wage budget !!!

That’s a stunning amount of money for a team playing in the 3rd division just two year ago.

I am largely taking care of the wages... Having a really young team helps! But I think that they are going to increase next year... And the finances are going very well, this helps me having a large amount of money in the cash to use! :)

Thanks for reading and commenting mate!
