Crystal Palace have announced that their star player, Glenn Murray has picked up a serious injury which will rule him out between seven weeks - two months. It is believed that the player has sprained his ankle during a training session. The physiotherapists at the club stated that the injury is most likely a reoccurring injury which may have been caused by placing too much weight on the ankle.
The news will be a major blow to Palace fans. Murray has been one of Palace's best players during the season, which has seen him bag an impressive 13 goals in 19 starts, and subsequently sees him placed second in the goal scoring charts - 5 behind leader Oliver Giroud. It is believed that Poyet will now be looking for a new striker, with several deals near completion.
Speaking to Sky, Poyet stated "Yes, it is true we are looking for a new striker. We have currently agreed a fee for two strikers and the contracts are in place, we are just waiting for the finishing touches before we can announce it."
In other news, it is believed that Crystal Palace will be announcing their first new signing of the January Transfer window. Speculation has been rife, with many names being thrown into the mix as who it is. An inside source, who claims to be "In The Know" has reported that the player that will be announced will be Bernard from Atlético Mineiro. When asked, Poyet refused to talk about the new signing, stating "the media will find out when they find out."
This statement has got many fans across Crystal Palace forums excited, however many fans are stating that they are not getting their hopes up. One fan, who went by the username 'K1rups' stated: "Don't get your hopes up, guys. Bernard would cost a lot of money, in excess of £8m and I just don't see us paying so much for one player when their are several areas that could be improved. Yes, he has stated that he would like to join us, but I don't think he will leave yet, maybe will will join in the summer."

That is a tough injury but Palace are doing awesome in the table! Easily mid table in the 1st season which is excellent! This "K1rups" fella sounds like he knows what he's on about haha

Crystal Palace unveiled their first signing of the January Trasnfer window... Alexander Miloševi?! Many fans are taken aback by the signing, as many assumed that the first signing of the window would be the young Brazilian under the name of Bernard, or a striker.
Alexander Miloševi?(full name Alexander Sjöström Miloševi?) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a central defender. Born on the 30th of January 1992, Alexander is currently 21 years old and has been plying his trade in the Swedish league with AIK. This season, he played 27 games, scoring 2 and assisting 3. He has also represented Sweden U21s.
Talking to the Journalists in the unveiling, Poyet stated: "I felt that a defender would be a good acquisition. If you look at our squad, many of our central defenders are getting older. We felt that we needed to look towards the future, and we feel that Alexander fits that role perfectly. We have also just lost another Defender due to injury [Paddy McCarthy], so it will be good for Alexander, it will allow him to play more because there will be a little less competition."
Crystal Palace fans are delighted with the signing, with many considering the signing as a coup. Alexander went onto say that he is glad to have the opportunity to play in England and he will help push the club onto better things.
Alexander has signed a 3 year contract until 2016, which will see him earn around £13k a week and it is believed that the transfer has put Palace back just £1.2 million.

Congrats on the new signing. Palace needs more fans. This k1rups fellow seems to be rather a pessimist.

Jelle Vossen has had a debut to remember after bagging four goals against a lackluster Norwich. The striker was on top form, helping his team to an easy 6-2 win against the Canaries. The striker was lethal in front of goal and the Norwich defence couldn't cope with the strikers lethal shooting.
Vossen opened his account with a goal with just 2 minutes gone before adding a second on 23 minutes. The Norwich defence couldn't cope with the strikers strength and it wasn't long before he had bagged his hatrick. A smart defence splitting pass by team mate Mattheus saw Vossen one-on-one with the goalkeeper, before calmly slotting past the on-rushing Ruddy. He capped his fourth with a smart goal on 53 minutes, muscling off two defenders before rounding the keeper and putting the ball into an empty net.
