AVB: Erik MUST leave!

http://i42.tinypic.com/wl7iuc.png

On a Monday morning, the first thing current AS Roma boss, Rudi Garcia expected to see when opening his newspaper was Tottenham Manager, Andre Villas-Boas telling the Argentinian youngster that he needs to leave AS Roma if he wants to reach his potential.

Sky Italia, who first got wind of the idea of Lamela to Spurs just a week ago contacted the popular Portuguese manager to ask if such rumours were true... The reply was rather suprising:

"Yes. We are looking at bringing him in. He is a very good player - he's a very talented player for his age and someone whom I would absolutely love to add to the squad. We have to do this [Speak to the press] because Roma are not being fair. We have had two [offers] declined so far. This is one reason why I have taken this action"

"If you look at his situation [at AS Roma] it is not the best. He needs to play regularly, something which I feel we can offer him. He would be perfect for us and I feel that if he wants to move, he will have to do so now, before his price rises ridiculously. He may have to twist the Chairman's arm, there is a possibility that this could get ugly. But if he is serious about his career then moving to Spurs would be good for him.
"

After being pushed by Sky Italia reporters if any of the current wingers, such as Dempsey or Lennon could be on their way out, the Tottenham boss responded, rather precariously

"In an ideal world? No. Absolutely not. I would like to keep them, it is always good to have depth to allow for rotation. We want to compete on as many fronts as possible and to do so we need a squad of players. This doesn't mean that their will not be any outgoings."

It is confirmed by Tottenham manager that two bids had been declined. The first was an offer thought to be around £17,000,000, while the second was thought to be around £20,000,000.

AS Roma have publicly issued a response to Andre Villas-Boas' comments, saying that they will only consider the sale if Tottenham meet their demands of £60,000,000 - and even then, they may not accept.
Not sure he's worth £60m :/

Adebayor transfer listed by Tottenham boss

http://i44.tinypic.com/9qh35g.png

Emmanuel Adebayor has been transfer listed by Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas.

The arrival of Soldado meant that at least one striker would be set to leave, with AVB having to weigh up some decisive factors.

One problem that AVB had to take into consideration was age. Defoe or Adebayor? Adebayor has just turned 28, and will still be in his peak, where as Defoe is on the wrong side of 30, and will only get worse.

However, Adebayor is on an astonishing £100,000 a week, where as Defoe is on around £50,000. Defoe has also been the more consistent, and has had a positive attitude, fighting for his place in the squad, and proving to AVB he has what it takes by scoring numerous times.

Adebayor, on the other hand, has somewhat of a 'lazy' attitude, something which AVB does not want to promote in his squad, which is why the player has been transfer listed.

It is believed that several clubs are interested in the player, including Stoke, Lille and Atletico Madrid. Tottenham have set a price-tag of around £11,000,000.
Glad you are getting rid of THAT waste of space.

lol, my thoughts exactly, although I'm sure you hate Adebayor more than I do.

It's up to Ade!

http://i41.tinypic.com/ht9nig.png

Tottenham striker, Emmanuel Adebayor has a plethora of clubs to chose from - even if his form has been some what poor.

The Togolese striker only recently joined the squad, however is already being shipped out due to his attitude. Being labeled by AVB as 'Lazy' and 'Idle' the Tottenham manager believes the striker doesn't care about his job and would be happy to "sit on the bench collecting splinters"

It is also believed that the striker has become a target from team-mates, with many getting frustrated with his relaxed attitude, with many pointing out that he's lucky to be doing the job that he is doing.

Throughout his career, Adebayor (Full name Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor) has been targeted by former fans as only caring to put in the effort as long as he gets his next pay-check. The striker has had stints at Mertz and Monaco, before moving to Arsenal, where he was eventually sold to Manchester City in 2009 for a fee of £25,000,000.

Adebayor then fell down the pecking order with the arrivals of Argentinian Tevez and Italian trouble maker Mario Ballotelli. He was subsequently shipped off to Spain where he spent the season on loan at Real Madrid, scoring two goals against current employers Tottenham Hotspur in the quater final of the Champions League.

After his stint with Madrid, he ended up going back to North London, however this time to Arsenal's rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The striker impressed in his first season with the Lily Whites, scoring a total of 17 goals in 33 matches. He then made a permanent move in 2012 for £5,000,000, signing a contract on £100,000 a week - the most paid player in Tottenham's history.

The striker, however, has failed to hit his form from last season, and is now being offered to clubs around £10,000,000.

Both Atletico Madrid and LOSC Lille have had offers of around £8,000,000 turned down, with Tottenham hoping to try and get around double for what they had originally paid for him.
I'd sell him either to Lille or OM, since they have less chances of qualifying for CL than those two (Stoke is league rival)

Adebayor set for Marseille

http://i39.tinypic.com/whhf2p.png

With just one week left of the transfer window, Tottenham boss, Andre Villas-Boas was desperate to sell striker Adebayor.

The club have agreed upon a deal worth £7,000,000 - £1,500,000 less than the original offer received from Atletico Madrid just two weeks earlier.

The Togolese striker has left the club on bad terms, claiming that he had 'always tried his hardest' and that the manager 'didn't appreciate him.'

The striker will be on a wage worth around £50,000 a week - a lot less than he was originally on when he had joined Spurs... So what's changed?

Nothing - before Adebayor left, he demanded that in order for him to move, Tottenham would have to pay £35,000 a week for the remainder of his old contract (which was set to expire in 2016.)

This situation is all too familiar for Spurs after having to go through a similar process with Manchester City. The striker demanded that Manchester City pay the difference from his old contract after taking a pay cut from around £200,000 to around £100,000 a week. It is also believed that Tottenham offered him a signing up fee of around £5,000,000.

Erik Lamela link goes dead

In other news, Tottenham's pursuit for Argentinian winger seems to have all but ended after they cancelled negotiations with the club after they could not reach an agreement over the price.

Erik Lamela, however, has said that he still believes he could be a Tottenham player come the end of January
aawww, too bad about Lamela. Oh well, there are other players.
Well, it's better that way mate :)
