Try having a look through the BBCodes, there are some really helpful tools in there.
You want to catch the eye of the reader, and even using something as simple as icons can keep them coming back for more. They take a little while to learn, but once you get the hang of it they're fantastic. For instance, your last post may look better if it was like this:

And you can still post the image below and talk about the match if you want
