2013-09-01 20:46#132900 Pauker : Great stuff! Berthomier is really a player that really doesn't deserve to be in that league! Loved the U-19 update, I loved it.
I agree about Berthomier I still have no clue why he signed lol

Has Ben Olsen outgrown Shamrock Rovers? All signs point to yes.

Published on 27/3/14

A few weeks ago Shamrock Rovers Football Club Manager Ben Olsen won his fifth trophy with the club since joining in January of last year. Right now they are strong favourites to win both the FAI Cup and EA Sports Cup. Even the league has already been won and it is not even June yet. They are 13-1-1 with a total of 40 points.

Sky Sports reporter Nick Collins says yes. "Ben is a tremendous manager and should leave the League of Ireland as soon as possible." Collins later said "He would be a perfect manager for a club in Scotland or in the Championship."

There are reports out that Olsen could be joining recently relegated Premier League Club Middlesbrough by mid June. We tried to reach Mr. Olsen but he was not available for comment.

Month in review May Edition: SRFC

Another month another handful of wins. The Rovers continued their winning streak in to the month of May with 22 games without a loss in all competitions. The key match of the month came during the Setanta Sports Cup final in Dublin where they won their second SSC in a row. in other new around Rovers Camp they signed a proven International Veteran. Paddy McCourt joined the Rovers on a free transfer days after the cup victory. McCourt has made two appearances with one goal! As you all remember earlier in the season that Lewis Toshney indecent both him and Coach Olsen have decided it was best for them to part ways. The League of Ireland has once again named Ben Olsen as manager of the month. Captain Ken Oman was named Player of the Month.

Shamrock Rovers' Experienced centre-back Ken Oman has wowed the FAI selection committee this month with some outstanding performances thus giving him the Player of the Month Award.

Ben's Blog

July 7,2014

Hey all!! Sorry about the late blog, we have been extremely busy and I am sorry that this is my first blog in a while. I just looked and it was March since the last entry.............Wow. So lets talk about a lot of things.

I can not believe that the club is doing so well. We have not lost a match since the season opener. The team has been in very high spirits and the positive attitude has been evident at our facilities. None of the guys on the first team are unhappy so that is good. Back in May we won another trophy and that was an epic match. I am so proud of this club. Our next big match(s) start in a few weeks. We get to start Champions League against Northern Ireland's Portadown. The boys are ready and we will win the match.

The situation with Lewis Toshney has cooled down significantly. We talked and agreed that SRFC was not the best fit for him. So he is on the transfer list. If there are any managers reading this please contact me or Oliver and we can get a deal done.

During the time away we have made some significant player moves. Since Mid May we have added 5 players to the club. One of them Paddy McCourt who joined right after the SSC victory has been a great addition. His leadership is really what I am looking for in a veteran international player. I do have some sad news about another new signing. Dean Moxey suffered a sports hernia during his first day of training. Luckily the doctors told me he should be back in about a week.

The last thing I want to address is that Sky Sports article. I feel I have not outgrown the league and still can enjoy coaching. Yes I did try to get that Middlesbrough job. Sadly they hired Roberto Martinez. I was quite saddened because they have a hell of a club even though they were just relegated from the Premier League.

Take Care,

Ben!!

Holy shit we made it to the champions playoff and get to play Celtic. You have no clue what emotions are going through my head right now. This is a dream come true and I can not wait to meet Neil Lennon. The guy is a genius.

The Battle of the Hoops will be epic and this might be the greatest match in club history. If we stick to the game plan and work hard this month I don't see why we can't win. No matter what this has been an amazing journey in Champions League. Do you all remember APOEL from a few years ago? I think we can be the 2014 version of them.

Well I will not be blogging until after the match because of how important focus needs to be.

Keep it real!!

Ben

UEFA Champions League Champions Playoff Preview.

UEFA.Com Published 9/8/2014

In a few weeks Celtic FC (SCO) and Shamrock Rovers FC (IRE) will be facing each other. This is the first time since the 1986/87 European Cup that these two will face each other in a continental competition. Celtic won that match by an aggregate score of 3-0.

Many in Ireland are excited for the match because Celtic have a huge huge following in that country. Rovers Manager Ben Olsen thinks that it will be a great match up and should go down the wire.

Celtic FC are defending back to back SPL Champions and are currently in first with one game played. They got to this point with wins over VFK Zalgirils Vilnius (LTH) and Red Star Belgrade (SRB). They were last crowned champions back in 1967.

On the other hand Shamrock Rovers are in midseason form and are on top of the table with 56 points. They are the defending Champions of the League of Ireland Premier Division and have already won a trophy this season, the Setanta Sports Cup. In other competitions they will be facing Derry City in the EA Sports Cup Final on September 20th. To get to this point Olsen's Army had to play Portadown (NI) and SK Rapid Wein (AUS) to get here.

Shamrock Rovers Midfielder Paddy McCourt will be making a return to Celtic Park for the first leg. He was considered a cult hero to many fans and they were know affectionately as Paddy McCourt's Fenian Army.

We Predict Celtic FC to win the series by an aggregate of 4-1
Good update, you should be able to destroy them! Scotland vs Ireland!
