FMScout v FC Halifax - 27/8/2011

Decided to stick with the same starting 11 that tore Boston United apart. The opponents this time are FC Halifax

Elric 68'
Wizzle 68'
Marsden 68'

Harris 68'
McEwan 68'
Giovanni-Ji 68'

Match report

20' - Strong receives the ball on the edge of the box, ignores Ham's screams for the pass and screams the ball into the net via a deflection off the far post. 1-0 FMScout
34' - Beech ran down the left... Past one, past two. Whipped it into the box and found the head of Ham, who glanced it into the far corner. 2-0 FMScout
68' - Beech and Ham comnine again, Ham finds Marsden with a perfect through ball but Marsden can only find the far post with his strike.
72' - Strong uses his strength to shrug off the defender and plays Giovanni-Ji through. The striker strides onto the pass and strokes it home. 3-0 FMScout
84 - Hogan centres the ball for Guthrie, he loses Dabrowski and heads off the bar, The rebound falls nicely for him and he heads it home. Lifeline for Halifax? 3-1 FMScout
85' - Nice passage of play involving Strong and Beech again, Beech's cross finds the head of Ham but his header finds the top of the bar

FMScout 3-1 FC Halifax

Boss, can you post stats on the formation used and some of the analysis screens? I'd like to help provide suggestions as the seasons progress.

Worcester v FMScout - 30/8/2011

Pierres-Nazlo 84'
Nepal 45'
Bone 45'

Andrews 45'
Halsall 84'
Ham 45'

Match report
25' - McGregor pushed down the left, cut inside and beat Pierres-Nazlo, swung the ball across and found Brown who slid in and prodded home
87' - I NEVER saw this coming. A rare break-away for FMScout saw Beech sprint down the left. He whipped it inside and found an outstretched Giovanni-Ji to slot the ball home

Worcester 1-1 FMScout

Quite possibly the worst performance from the team yet. I think I might have changed too much again. I just want to give people game time. Here are the stats
Joannes3000. This is the formation I've been using at present for both home and away matches. I'm trying to get the team familiar with your formation

The following players have been called up for international duty:

Tony Tsak - Greece U19s
I've been disappointed with my player so far this season.

Workington v FMScout - 3/9/2011

Tsak 46'
Wizzle 45'
Beech 45'

Shaughnessy 46'
Harris 45'
Agrela 45'

Squad down to the bare minimum again. See for yourself!

Match report

13' - It's taken 13 minutes for the trio of Strong, Beech and Giovanni-Ji to combine. Nice passing between the midfield pair ended with Beech finding Giovanni-Ji free in the area who easily found the bottom corner of the net from 10 yards out. 1-0 FMScout

16' - Immediate response from the home side. Sloan finds Gall with a through ball who advances onto Tsak's goal and slots the ball home. 1-1

25' - He makes this scoring business look so easy. A header from Strong finds Ham. His through ball is timed to perfection for Giovanni-Ji who slides the ball under the advancing keeper. 2-1 FMScout

33' - Beech plays a short ball inside to the feet of Giovanni-Ji, he holds the play up and rolls the ball to the feet of Strong who powers the ball home from 12 yards. 3-1 FMScout

37' - Ham plays a through ball to Giovanni-Ji, for his hat-trick... But is denied by the inside of the post!

39' - It was coming... Elric plays the ball inside to Wizzle, he only needs a one-touch pass to find Giovanni-Ji in acres of space. The in-form striker only needs one touch to steer the ball home. That's his hat-trick! 4-1 FMScout

41' - The same two Workington players combine, with the same outcome as earlier in the game. Galls shot finds the net from the inside of the post. 4-2 FMScout

43' - Giovanni-Ji may have a fight on his hands for that match-ball! Gall shrugs free of the last defender to poke Mannix's cross home. 4-3 FMScout

46' - Nightmare start to the second half. McEwan shoves Gall to the floor in the area... Green steps up. And scores! 4-4!

Tsak had to come off, his morale had dropped from Superb to Abysmal 46 minutes. Shaughnessy stripped off and came on

53' - Argela's free-kick finds McCabe at the back post, but his header can only find the crossbar.

After 53 of end to end action. Nothing of note happened for the final 40 minutes.

Workington 4-4 FMScout
After that i'm off to bed. That's worn me out! More for you soon!
Calum Andrews hasn't been too bad to be honest. Wizzle and Strong are out-performing all the other CM's at the minute though

Thanks, boss. Looking at the stat sheet against Worcester, the number of shots taken was discouraging. :( Maybe restrict the team instructions a bit in an attempt to have the playmakers control the ball more? The combination of fluid philosophy, attacking strategy, and increased creative freedom seems a bit much; especially at the lower levels where players often don't have the mental makeup to handle that amount of freedom.
