The Next Generation

Hello and welcome to my Chelsea story. I want to bring through the next generation of stars at Chelsea Football Club. The Barclays Premier League is my priority along with winning the club's first Champions League trophy.

The youth academy will be the first aspect that I will look to address. There are a couple of stand-out players in the youth squad that look as if they can step up right away or within a season. I will also look to add some more youngsters so that we can have a continued system of players coming through.

Any constructive comments/criticism welcome. Thank you for reading...
Goodluck! Looking forward to hearing some transfer targets :)
What is your transfer budget?
#47628 patrick1 : What is your transfer budget?

Thanks guys - My transfer budget is £5,000,000.
Academy Prospects

CB - Nathaniel Chalobah
CB - Nathan Ake
CM - Conor Clifford
ST - Lucas Piazon

These are the only youngsters who I believe could make the step up to the first team squad. Young England centre back Nathaniel Chalobah is clearly a great talent and is currently being tutored by John Terry. Lucas Piazon is also someone I will be keeping an eye on with the possibility of a loan spell somewhere.
I'd loan Piazon to either a Championship team or to a Prem team to the likes of Norwich, Bolton, QPR etc. Is there any players you considering to sell permanently like Malouda?

I think loaning Lucas Piazon to a Premier League or Championship club would be a great move. I am considering selling some older players but nothing has been decided.
Chelsea the next generation - boldly going where no blue has gone before. Good luck with your story.

Thanks mate - Just hope Roman Abramovich is willing to wait if need be.
Transfer Update

Players In

RB - Sime Vrsaljko - Dinamo - £3,000,000
CM - Felipe Anderson - Santos - £5,250,000
AMC - Moises - Villarreal - £2,700,000 - (01/07/12)

Players out

GK - Hilario - FC Porto - £500,000
RB - Jose Bosingwa - Palermo - £3,000,000
RB - Paulo Ferreira - Atletico Madrid - £750,000

Happy with the signings. Sime Vrsaljko and Felipe Anderson have gone straight into my first team squad. Moises will join next season and has the potential to be a world class midfielder. No major outgoings, Jose Bosingwa being the only first team squad member to leave. Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou have one year left on their contracts so I will see how they do this season.
Pre Season Results

Vitesse 0 - 0 Chelsea
Alianza 1 - 4 Chelsea
Manisaspor 0 - 2 Chelsea
Huracan 1 - 2 Chelsea
Power Dynamos 0 - 2 Chelsea

A good pre season with some good performances. The tactical systems seem to be working well. Ramires, Raul Meireles and Daniel Sturridge look in great form for the start of the season. I will be updating after every match.

A good solid win at a tough ground. Goals from Torres and Malouda gave us the three points. It was also nice to keep a clean sheet.
