Injury News

Ashley Cole has been injured on international duty and will be out for 3 - 4 weeks.
Barclays Premier League

Newcastle United 0 - 3 Chelsea

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Vrsaljko, Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Drogba

Subs Used - Cahill, Meireles, Sturridge

Man of the match - Salomon Kalou

Really pleased with the result. A very professional display from the team. Two goals from Salomon Kalou and one from Didier Drogba gave us a much needed win.
Looks like you are having a bad time with injuries recently, really unlucky. Some tough results there too against some of the weaker opposition, perhaps due to underestimation of the opposition. Question how is Felipe Anderson settling in? My scout says he would be great but struggles to adapt to new countries.
UEFA Champions League - Group G - Matchday Five

Valencia 2 - 0 Chelsea

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Vrsaljko, Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Kalou, Malouda, Drogba

Subs Used - Lampard, Mata, Sturridge

Man of the match - David Albelda (Valencia)

Poor performance from the team. The players that came in where not good enough and it was a bit of an eye opener for me. We have qualified for the knockout stage because Bayer Leverkusen and Valencia play each other next.

I think the poor run of form has been due to underestimation of the opposition and also poor player performances. When players like Florent Malouda, Raul Meireles and even Didier Drogba come into the team, they very rarely put in a good shift and contribute very little. Felipe Anderson hasn't played much but when he has been used he has been good. I signed him for the future so I am not too worried about how him making an instant impact.

Injuries obviously do not help either. I shall be using those players in different systems so it will be interesting if i notice the same thing. Well im looking into signing him and a fellow Brazilian youngster called Leandro who is touted as the next Ronaldo and the scouts like the look of him too.
You should recall Bruma from the loan spell at Hamburg as your defence is getting short with injuries. Try Cahill and Terry as centre halves; ivanovic at left back then vrsaijko at rb. you should have kept bosingwa cause he can play at left back

The injuries have not helped. I have had to play Sime Vrsaljko out of position and none of my strikers can seem to fill in for Fernando Torres.

I am unable to recall Jeffrey Bruma. My back four with injuries have been Ivanovic at RB, Terry and Cahill as CB's and Vrsaljko at LB. Jose Bosingwa had one year left on his contract so to get £3,000,000 was a good deal. I don't really rate him anyway.
I'm able to recall Bruma so thats a bit strange that you're unable to. ah fair enough about bosingwa but whose your sub defenders? as you have the update obviously not alex cause hes at PSG and you sold bosingwa and paulo ferreira.
Barclays Premier League

Chelsea 1 - 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers

4-3-3
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Vrsaljko, Romeu, Lampard, Felipe Anderson, Kalou, Mata, Torres

Subs Used - Sturridge, Drogba

Man of the match - Steven Fletcher (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Wolves were better than us, can't really say anything else. The players who came in did not perform well enough. Frank Lampard scored a penalty for us. Morale is low at the moment.
Barclays Premier League

Fulham 1 - 5 Chelsea

4-2-3-1
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Bertrand, Lampard, Ramires, Kalou, Mata, Malouda, Torres

Subs Used - Vrsaljko, Felipe Anderson

Man of the match - Ramires

A brilliant result and good positive reaction from the team. I tried a different formation and it worked well. Goals from Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, Fernando Torres, Ramires and a Frank Lampard penalty gave us a much needed win in the London derby.
UEFA Champions League - Group G - Matchday Six

Chelsea 3 - 1 Rosenborg

4-2-3-1
Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Vrsaljko, Felipe Anderson, Meireles, Sturridge, Mata, Malouda, Lukaku

Subs Used - Bertrand, Chalobah

Man of the match - Raul Meireles

I have been very critical of Raul Meireles this season, today he showed that he can perform at a much higher level than he has been. He scored two goals and John Terry got the other goal. It was important to end the game as group winners so the knockout stage could be favourable. Bayer Leverkusen finished second so Valencia will have to settle for the Europa League.
