Málaga CF: November

Málaga 1-1 Rayo

A poor performance really, not playing well dying the game, and in the end also losing the lead we had.

Sporting CP 1-1 Málaga

We did brilliantly to come from behind, and after they scored early on, we shut them down and dominated. We were unlucky not to win during the game, and the point definitely helps us.

Málaga 2-1 Real Sociedad

A good performance against the team who were in 4th place then. We did very well, before a late halfway line goal from Manuel Iturra led to our victory and another 3 points.

Atletico Madrid 0-1 Málaga

A great shutdown of Falcao away meant that we could pick up another 3 points. An Isco penalty and some fantastic saves Willy Caballero meant that we could win.

Málaga 1-0 Anji

Good work to pick up another 3 points in Europe, pushing us closer to qualification through to the next round. Dominating possession, we scored just before half time and then held onto our lead.

Málaga 0-0 Valencia

A pretty boring game overall, with not many chances from either team.

Málaga 4-0 C.D. Atlético Baleares (Agg. 7-2)

A very easy game where we secured our progression through to the next round. We scored easy goals throughout the second half, and we will be looking to get a good run going during the cup.

Hopefully yes!
Good month. I'm sure you will climb back in the table.
Keep it up :)

We bring you breaking news today that Spanish club Málaga CF are preparing themselves to go into administration. The club has reported being £58.5M in debt, and money is continuing to drain from the the Qatar owned club.

It look as though there will now be serious changes at the Costa del Sol club, and the Anchovies manager will have to make serious changes at the club. Fans are calling for loans to be terminated, and we can report that Diego Lugano, on loan from Paris Saint-Germain has been sent back to the French capital.

Lugano in action for his country, Uruguay

It looks as though the club may also have to sell fan favourite Isco, with a number of top European clubs looking to come in for the Spanish starlet.

Whatever happens to the club, they will surely be looking to keep their new manager Joe Dowley, who, after a poor start, has led the club to a new unbeaten record. We will bring more news as we get it.

Málaga CF: December

Getafe 2-3 Málaga

A hard fought win with the team, and we picked up the win after a run from Fernández in added time. It was a good result and we looked very good from this.

FC København 3-0 Málaga

A very poor away performance, missing a penalty and also giving 2 away. We played ver badly and it saw us drop out of Europe on a very low note.

Málaga 3-2 Granada

A good win, but we almost threw it away late on. Some good goals, and a good performance saw us through it though.

Valencia 2-0 Málaga

We may have played very badly but it was not as though I was expecting to come away from the game with much more than a point. A theme for giving away penalties has struck us this month, and coming from 2 goals down in the cup would be tough.

Sevilla 4-1 Málaga

My heaviest defeat as Málaga boss, giving away 3 penalties this time. We have just been playing poorly in some of our matches this month.

Málaga 4-0 Valencia (Agg. 4-2)

A fantastic result to turn around the deficit from the first leg. We played excellent and Saviola got back into goalscoring form as well. Fernandez has been playing excellently so far this month.

Málaga 0-4 Real Madrid

A poor performance, giving away another 2 penalties. I was expecting a loss at the hand's of Cristiano Ronaldo and José Mourinho, but not by this much.

Overall a good month, amazing result over Valencia :D

Hope your financial situation picks up before you have to start selling!
So close to the First Knockout Round. That would've eased finances but you would fall into administration either way. Good luck with the finances

Deportivo 1-1 Málaga

Deportivo may have been below us in the league, but they were on a hot streak and were an on-form team. We helped them stutter away, playing well to pick up a draw.

Celta 2-0 Málaga

A poor performance, leading us with a tough job in the second leg. We didn't play, and kept losing the ball too often.

Málaga 2-0 Barçelona

Probably my proudest moment yet, a fantastic victory over the Catalan giants. I shut Messi down well, and a late Mascherano red card opened the door to a second goal.

Málaga 3-0 Celta AET (Agg. 3-2)

A great start for Fabrice Olinga on his first start for the club, where he picked up the man of the match award. Ferreira scored his first goal for the club to send us through to the next round.

Málaga 1-0 Celta

Again we played Celta, getting the victory at home against their demoralised side.

Murcia 3-4 Málaga

How glad I was to finally have Julio Baptista back, picking up a marvellous hat-trick and an assist. He was just what I needed to spark up my team.

Mallorca 1-1 Málaga

A late missed penalty from club vice-captain Weligton meant that we couldn't record a victory away on the Balearic Island. We played well but lacked our finishing.

Málaga 4-2 Murcia (Agg. 8-6)

A brilliant game, with Libor Kozak picking up a hat-trick on his debut. I'm sure you will be seeing that name very often from now on! Probably my second proudest moment as manager, leading Málaga to the Copa del Rey final.

Málaga CF: The Transfers

Jouquin, Portillo and Kameni were the three players chosen to leave the club and raise some money over this period. I also picked up some players late on, as 4 players now have torn hamstrings (2-3 months). I also released Litmanen and Traore when I first ran into trouble financially.

Málaga CF: February

Málaga 0-3 Zaragoza

A really, really poor game, with Demichelis picking up a straight red card for a very stupid challenge. We just lost all of our incisiveness from the team who beat Barcelona 2-0.

Levante 3-1 Málaga

Again a poor performance, with Isco picking up a needless red card. I took my tally of injured and suspended to 11 from the first-team.

Málaga 2-3 Atletic Bilbao

They played very well, and once again we gave away a stupid penalty, meaning that we would lose in the end.

Betis 1-1 Málaga

We came from behind away from home against a sting Betis side, and we played very well to take away a point from Benito Villamarin. A superb assist from new signing Romario set up Saviola.

Málaga 0-1 Osasuna

A poor start to the month, with the visitors scoring a very late goal to nick a win.

Vallodolid 0-2 Málaga

A far better performance, recording our first win in the league for 7 games. Players were arriving back from injury at this match.

Málaga 2-1 Espanyol

A good performance, with everyone back now, apart from two. Santa Cruz picked up a goal on his return, before tearing his hamstring again on international duty.

Rayo 2-2 Málaga

We had to come from behind to draw, after Demichelis gave away a silly penalty. Apart from that it was a good performance all round.
