We bring you news here today that Spanish club Málaga CF have reportedly agreed and completed a deal to sign Argentinian and Monaco striker Lucas Ocampos.
Ocampos was transfer listed at the French club, after Dowley had reportedly unsettled him through some of the French media. We hear from our sources at both clubs that the fee agreed is around £13M, and with the youngster looking to have a bright future with the Anchovies.
In other Málaga transfer news, we hear that the club have reputedly pulled out of the signing of Denys Garmash from Dynamo Kyiv, who will instead join Stuttgart in the summer on a free transfer. Dowley was said to have been disappointed that he couldn't get his man, but has said that he does not mind about it.
'Yes, we did not get Denys, but he is a great player who I would love to have in my team. I wish him all the best for his future in Germany.'
Going the other way out of Málaga, the sale of goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to Almeria for £1.2M has been completed. The Argentine joined the club only in the summer on a free, but was deemed surplus to requirements. Midfielder Tom Adeyemi has mined Wolves on loan until the end of the season. The ex-Norwich man has struggled for starts this season, with fantastic performances courtesy of McDonald Mariga, Jeremy Toulalan and Manuel Iturra keeping him out of the side.
We have also heard that Czech-Republican giant Libor Kozak may be packing his bags, as Deportivo look set to offer £2M for him. Kozak has also been kept out of the team this season, and with Ocampos joining, he will be further down the pecking order now. However, our sources tell us that the club would love to hold onto him for at least the rest of the season, with many of his teammates responding to the speculation on Twitter, saying that he was a real character and they did not want him gone from the club.
