FM Genie Scout (or Genie Scout in short) is world's most popular scouting tool for Football Manager, created to extend the possibilities of finding, sorting and shortlisting players and staff, controlling their progress, making "first 11" and tactics choice easier and observing attributes invisible in FM.

There are no new features compared to Genie Scout 13, except the addition of all the new player roles in FM14 (enganche, false nine etc). During closed beta stage, Eugene focused on making all GS13 functions available for GS14 and fixed all bugs that came to surface. As a result, the public edition should be quite stable from the very first version.

How to run
- Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.
- You might get an offer to install a free program or a browser toolbar. You can choose to Accept or Decline/Skip the offer.
Important: Unticking checkboxes on the offer screen is only for disabling an offer's extra options. If you don't want the offer, you need to hit the Decline or the Skip button! - Follow instructions until installation is finished.
- Run Football Manager 2014 and load your savegame.
- Launch Genie Scout 14 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to get the "g" edition
As usual, Genie Scout 14 comes in two editions. One with ads and one with no ads (we will refer to it as the "g" edition). In order to get the "no ads" one you'll have to donate to Eugene first, using the Donate to Eugene page.Genie Scout 14g FAQ
DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION :
Eugene has automatized the process of distribution for the "g" edition, so people will only have to wait a few minutes before they will get a download link and a key file. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID along with the donation.
Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
If Eugene doesn't have his computer open at the time of donation, it might take up to 24 hours or longer (until he opens it). In case of problem with your donation, please contact Eugene using the email address you'll see in the message after donation.
Apart from no ads, the "g" edition has 4 extra features:

Please note that during the first run of "g" edition it may take a few minutes to create the graphic packs cache. Next time it will be loaded much faster.
IMPORTANT :
FM Scout (the site) is not involved in the donations towards Eugene, neither has any responsibility delivering the ad-free version to you after donation. This is a process handled solely by Eugene himself.

EXPORTING DATA :
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc... the rest information belong to SI and SEGA.

But at any case, if you decline/skip an offer, you shouldn't get anything unwanted installed. I personally tried the installation a dozen times declining/skipping the offer that came up and all went well. We'll message the ad agency once more and might have to switch agencies because I'm really tired of getting complaints over something we don't control.
On a side note, it might as well be the last Genie Scout we release.
@chocolatjon: I'd appreciate if you could provide some more details regarding the names of whatever you're saying that's bad or hijacking your browsers. The ad agency we work with (Somoto) made a promise there won't be any harmful offers for those who accept to install them, and nothing extra will get installed if the user chooses to "Decline" or "Skip" any offer.
Now, we haven't changed a thing between versions, except request the removal of 2 particular offers that our users reported as annoying. So, I'd like to know something more specific regarding the nasties you're talking about so I can confront the ad agency about. Because believe me, the last thing I want is to apologize for something we didn't do.

@pawll1: I don't know, maybe never. The main author is serving his military duty which makes it really hard for us to produce FMEL 2014.
@rockyah: Not sure what could be the issue here. Nothing really changed since last version, except adding support for the latest patch. Are you still having this problem?
@Hatton90: Seems like you formatted or changed your computer, which means your unique id has changed and your key file won't work. Has to be something related to the key file, and of course we're talking about the "g" edition. Is this the case?
@XISTENZ: I'm guessing you're referring to the "g" edition. Try the download link again (the one you got in the email or via the internal update check button). Should have been a momentary issue with the download server which is serving the "g" download.
Now, I have read the post and in particular one states that you have the option to decline/click no to download the attached programs. Well this is not entirely the case. I am normally very careful when it comes to downloading this type of thing, and i usually run in a sandbox(virtual environment) on first download, in this instance i didnt and my pc was embedded with nasties.
I have downloaded genie scout before and no issues, bu due to it becoming corrupted like some other users due to a software update, i am forced to download a new version.
On to what it downloads, well the browser hijacker is difficult to remove because it attaches to all your browsers and the url redirects you to a known bad site
If you are infected with the browser hijacker and the associated programs, you need to do the following : run an antivirus scan (i have avast premium subscription, run malwarebytes, run superantispyware. Its best to unistall browsers after all spyware/malware removed.
if you have internet explorer, you need to remove the url that is attatched to your home page which redirect you and also manage add ons (remove extensions.
It's a pain, but worth it bacause otherwise, you will still be left with issues.
I hope this helps anyone with the same problem I encountered.
In the end, it just isnt worth downloading this program.
Unfortunatelly nobody answering me at the forum so i am posting here as well
Whenever i am doing searches for players the results are incorrect giving a player for Sheffield United as the best player on the game and Lionel Messi is only rated as 60. All the players in my Salisbury City team are Belgain rather than mixed nationalities, mainly English.
Is there anyone else with the same problem? Or does anyone know how i can correct this?

@nsammut: Ratings or abilities? Exclusive game data is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to be exported. But if it's GS data, I'll inform Eugene on the issue.
@JalenTigh: Sounds suspicious. I mean if you select "Decline" or "Skip" you shouldn't get anything you don't want. I'm reporting Outfox TV to the ad agency straight away.
@DandjkRoberts: Try again please. We switched download servers sometime during the last few days, so perhaps that can explain temporary 404 errors.
@roblackpool: Player values should be correct. Sale values are not very accurate, but that's a know issue.
@Vilas: Perhaps your download wasn't completed properly. Please re-download and try extracting the file again (I recommend using 7-zip for the extraction).
When i export data to csv, the player current and potential ratings are not being displayed.
Help please.
