FM Genie Scout (or Genie Scout in short) is world's most popular scouting tool for Football Manager, created to extend the possibilities of finding, sorting and shortlisting players and staff, controlling their progress, making "first 11" and tactics choice easier and observing attributes invisible in FM.

No.

Can I use it to edit attributes and other details?
No. However, we might release a real time editor soon.

How to run GS26

Extract the downloaded .zip file and run the setup .exe file.

Follow instructions until installation is finished.

Run Football Manager 2026 and load your saved game.

Continue to the next day in-game.

Launch Genie Scout 26 and from main menu click "Load Game".

Donate to Support GS & get the "g" edition

As usual, Genie Scout 26 comes in two editions:

The public edition comes with 2 banner ads.

The "g" edition has no ads and includes a few minor extra features.

In order to get the "g" edition, you need to donate to Support GS.

Genie Scout 26g Explained

DELIVERY OF THE 'G' EDITION:
The process of distribution for the "g" edition has been automatized, so you will have to wait just a few minutes before you receive a download link. Another email containing the key file might take a while though. But only if they have sent correct contact email, correct Unique ID alongside your donation.

Make sure you check your Spam folder too.
It might take up to 24 hours though. In case of problem with your donation, please reach out to the email address you'll see in the message after donation.

Bug Reports

During closed beta stage for supporters, most bugs that came to surface were fixed. As a result, the public edition should be reasonably stable from its very first version.

Should you find a bug, please report it to the Genie Scout forum.
Read this before submitting any bugs!

Known issues:
- Sale value for players is not accurate and sadly we have no way of making it work as it used to be before GS13.
- In-Game Scout ('g' edition feature) doesn't currently work.

Any comment including bug report posted on this page will be removed on sight!

EXPORTING DATA:
Please understand it is forbidden by the EULA from SI and SEGA to export all the data from the results. You should be able to export only basic information such as player name, club, age, etc.

Hello, I've got the g version, however when I try to launch the application, it says, that key file is missing. Genie Scout app sshows random players with different nationalities

As others have said G-edition crashes as soon as you double click on a player to bring up their stats - (FM26 GamePass version)

Dude I paid for "G" access, yet I can't use Genie Scout because you didn't think of supporting the new Gamepass version. Pretty sad that Gamepass users suffer disadvantages although paying the same amount of money

i got the g edition. when i click on a player listed in the app, app crashes. am i doing something wrong ?

The 'g' edition of GS26 has just been updated to work with the main winter patch (26.2) which was released earlier today.
The update for the public edition will be delayed for roughly 4 weeks as usual. This delay occurs twice a year; on game launch and after the main winter patch. It's Eugene's way of rewarding his direct supporters.

Status update: I've notified Eugene but won't be home for the next 4 hours or so. The plan is to roll out the updated 'g' edition late tonight. The public edition won't get updated at the same time. I'll post a new comment once I have news.
@Avior: You need to move to the next day in-game, then click to load the game data in GS.

This app no longer works the way it used to. “Best Potential” is unstable and changes over time, going up and down, and the app thinks the year is 2025 even though I’m in 2030.

VirusTotal reports that the current executable file is infected with a virus. I request that the relevant team please perform the necessary scan. I am a software engineer; they can contact me if needed. I am awaiting a solution to this problem.

Apologies if this has been asked, but when loading GS, the date given on GS when the data has loaded is 7 days in advance of the date in game, will there be a fix for this please?

Thanks for the update, Stam. In previous versions I could see columns for "progress rate" (how quickly a player develops) and something regarding how likely a player was to reach their potential (normally as a %). I can't see to find either of these in the columns on player search. It's possible they're there and I can't find them, or they're not in the UI in this update. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

@yukishiro: If you got the g edition but don't have a key for it, you'll see wrong data.
