FM Genie Scout 14 Release Date
Public editionWe won't make any promises on the release date of the public version, but most likely we'll be able to release it during November.

"g" edition
The "g" edition, which is the one for people who donate, is available since 16 October (beta 1). Current version is beta 9 and available since 28 November.
Reminder: The "g" edition is ad-free and has a few extra features compared to the public edition.

How to get Genie Scout 14 public edition earlier!
We will make the public edition available for download earlier for people who have signed up for our newsletter. All you need to do is give us your email and verify it by clicking the confirmation link in the email you'll receive.You will receive an email with the download link to the first Genie Scout 14 beta version of the public edition a bit earlier than everyone else.
How much earlier? Well, it could be for half a day or two days. Once that time has passed, it will be available for free download on our site of course for everyone else. Why lose a single hour though? Signing up for our newsletter is free!

In my case, some years ago too, I developed an update for the current FM version at this time. All people gave changes, proposal, and I did it when I had time. So, a lot of people too, asked me to release the new version INMEDIATELY, without take on that we're not forced by someone to make something we like.

On a more positive note, as a former staff member here, I am very pleased with all the positive feedback about Genie Scout and indeed the site. A lot of hard work has gone in to both, and everybody appreciates the compliments and encouragement left by the majority of our community

@MinistryOfDarkness: Agreed. I don't know if they're kids, but it's pointless arguing with people who can't understand and/or respect 3 simple facts. At any case, I believe I've made myself clear and answered to all common questions.
@ruifcp: I wouldn't call it a war. Just a couple of "unappreciative ranters", as Red till im dead called them aptly earlier.
@andy266: It's not certain we'll produce FMEL 2014, because the main author of the app has to serve his military duty now and won't be able to work on FMEL. We'll try but can't promise anything at the moment.
Instead of bitching to Stam about the free version of Genie Scout, how about you get your credit/debit card out and donate a fiver to Eugene and you'll have it straight away.
As far as making money out of it, Eugene is a family man with a full time job who does this in his spare time, (No offence Eugene) but i doubt hardly anyone in the Ukraine earns a fortune.
So if you want to bitch then do it elsewhere.
Note to Stam: When is FMEL 14 coming out - you haven't answered on that page.
