How to use FMLE

Current version 1.11.9 is compatible with the following Windows editions: Steam, Epic & Game Pass (including Console). Even the Demo.

Unzip and install by running the .exe file.
Open Football Manager 26 and load your saved game.
Open FMLE 26.
Click on Load Data button. You need to be online for your first run and after an update.
Search for clubs, players, staff.
Double-click on an item from the results.
The profile will open in a tab and you can edit data there.
Once done editing click on the Save Changes button for the changes to take effect.

@Stam First, thank you for this. Second, however, I can't get it to work. When I click the application file to install, I get an error message that says, "error opening file for writing." Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

@Stam: I did indeed advance the game forward a few days. I am currently in the end of season/pre-season transfer window. The only thing that I noticed was different was the expectations of the chance of a work permit being granted changed from not being likely to highly like to obtain one. I then applied for a work permit again (the player is in my squad but without work permit and ESC slots are full) but it got rejected a few days later.

@mitra8: Good shout. Yes, I can do that. I guess we want this to apply to any staff member contracted to a NT and not only the manager?

Im playing the console edition and have it loaded on Win11 currently. I have tried changing the work permit status of a couple of players but nothing changes game side.

Hi, I've just updated to the latest version but when I load my game data it is in view only mode. I've checked the license settings and Status is License Activated and Licensed to me (Exiled).

@LewCCFC: I just tested the "Move to My/Other Club" buttons, worked fine. Did you press the Continue button in-game after moving the player? About introducing an "interested only" filter in player search, it's a pure scouting feature that not even Genie Scout has.

@Aldorinho: Apologies for the inconvenience. I forgot to upload the file to 1 of our download servers, and as a result you'd get the 404 message when your download request was randomly selecting that server. It's sorted now.

I got the new version the 404 went but cant move players around via the move to club feature, it just doesn't go through on the game.... also, in player search would it be possible to add shortlists/interested only?

@Trabelsi: You can move staff but not uncontracted ones. I could implement the ability to add new sponsorships, but I initially avoided that as it requires deeper investigation to ensure it can be done safely.
Adding a licence column on staff search is easy but essentially is a scouting feature. Player shortlists is pure scouting, and you can do that with Genie Scout.

@Alea333: I haven't found a hairstyle option even in the pre-game editor, so Ι'm not sure if that's even possible.

@Sied: FMLE should normally work with 26.3.0 without any issue. Is there anything special about your save and platform?

@priority76: Here are a couple of screenshots where I simply enabled the seats for the stadium corner stands without fiddling with the numbers at all.

@Stam Hey, as I understand currently it is not possible to move staff to "my club" or to "other club"? Would be really nice to have such a feature added. And when you search staff it will be good to sort by licence too, so I can filter by Pro licence for example.

Also would be nice to have possibility to add new sponsorship in club finances. And creating players shortlists as in FMRTE too.

Status update: I've taken a 3-week break from FMLE development as I was occupied with something else. I'm resuming the work on FMLE and my FM Scout tasks in general this week. The next feature update will introduce editable nation profiles.
