FMSE23 is packed with a plethora of options and running lightning fast. The focus is on the editing side of things. The scouting capabilities are limited. For more advanced scouting, it's recommended to try Genie Scout 23.Whenever there's a new official patch out, we'll make an effort to update FMSE asap. And while update time is dependent on external factors (such as patch complexity), we'll do our best to deliver updates as quickly as possible.

FMSE doesn't work with network saves, and it never will. Because that'd turn it into a hacking tool and we don't want that.

How to use FMSE
Current version 6.5.0 is compatible with the following Windows editions: Steam, Epic & Game Pass.- Unzip and install by running the .exe file.
- Open Football Manager 2023 and load your saved game.
- Open FMSE 2023.
- Click on the load icon (small folder, top left).
- Search for awards, cities, clubs, players...
- Double-click on an item from the results.
- A new window will pop-up and you can edit data there.
- Once done editing click on the save icon (small disk, top left) for the changes to take effect.

Despite setting my manager and my Steam profile name to 'always allow registration', and then clicking save, when I add the players to the team for the season, the 'confirm selection' button remains faded out and unclickable.
I've exited and reloaded game to see if that was it. Fixable?

@Foley: You'll be able to find and edit his staff attributes once he becomes pure staff and not player/staff.
@HannaHer: Which attributes did you try to edit exactly? It would help to know more details in order to be able to replicate the issue.
@vmarques: Correct. FMSE can't read people with a combined player/staff status.

@HJWilko @ignacastrov: It's for Windows only. I don't own a Mac to test if this can actually work using something called Parallels, but I've read that someone could do it.
@JLK: No, transfers are not supported. Only player swaps.
@mneto_8: Open FMSE, go to File (blue button, top left) > Options > Registration (tab). You'll find the import button, browse to your license file, click OK.
@Ryanmin99 @Slim_Buddha: I'll try to prepare a mini tutorial about the player swap feature and to deal with possible registration problems.
FMSE23 is still in beta, so it's not unlikely for a certain feature to not function as intended.
@mcetli: The only possible explanation is that he has turned into player/staff.
@Dru1927: If you mean that Trippier is still in the game but has turned into player/staff and not just player, that can explain it. FMSE doesn't read people with player/staff status.

@jacobmatthews1993: What do you expect the change of CA to do in-game? If you have another tool for reading CA, you might need to reload the game on that tool to read that change.
@craftygamer558: Yes, condition should change immediately. But you'll need to change a screen in-game to actually see the change. Just change screen and return, no need to press Continue.
You can't swap player/staff, only players.
@AnfieldSouth: I just tried to change Newcastle's transfer budget and it worked at once. Make sure you change Rem. Transfer Budget and not (just) Season Transfer Budget.
I've bought the license and everything works. Nice job!
However I have an issue that after searching Google seems to also have happened on fmse 19 and 20 which is Cristiano Ronaldo not showing anywhere ahah. I want to edit his terrible staff attributes but he is doesn't appear on my team, on player search, on staff search, anywhere. Currently he will retire at the end of the year, plays for me and just signed up a staff contract when his current ends.
Can you help?
