The database incorporates 36 of the original NASL teams divided between two leagues which concludes with the Soccer Bowl between the two top teams in the NASL. There is a modern day twist with Pro/Rel between the NASL & NASL Challenger League. Alongside the league structure there is the NASL Shield, a two legged knockout cup competition that all 36 teams are entered into.
Besides the database, I have also made kits for all teams, including some rather nice kits, check out the California Surf, and some rather horrific of the age kits, yes I’m looking at you Chicago Sting.
Now the important part! Players. I’ve added a lot of the international talent that came across to the NASL with help from this spectacular website which has a list of the most important foreign talent and some of the most successful US players to have graced the NASL. Furthermore I’ve also added all the players from the 1977 NASL Draft but quickly realised as many teams moved and became other teams, building every team wasn’t an option so I’d advise adding add players to team.
Rodney Marsh, George Best, Pele, Franz Beckenbauer and Johan Cruyff all make an appearance in the database. I’d also recommend looking at Boston Minutemen as they have a Portuguese great in their team.

It is also worth noting that all MLS players have been released so they can be picked up on free’s to fill out your 28 man squad with a maximum of 8 foreign players.
On the league selection screen it would be worthwhile loading up all American players and all North American continental players to help populate the teams in the North American Champions League
