Lyon Unbeaten Tactic FM20

There is no real story behind this tactic. I created it midway through the first season, and it has done wonders for me. We lost the Europa League final in the 1st season, won the league in the 2nd season and also got to the CL semi-finals in the 2nd season where we were knocked out by Man City on away goals.







The idea is that the wing-backs provide width and also assist a lot, while the complete forward and the left inside forward are the main goalscorers of the team, although the right winger also scored double figures for my side.

We build our attacks from the back, pass the ball shorter with higher tempo. We look to pass the ball into space and to run at defence. In transition the instructions are to counter-press when possession has been lost, and counter when we win the ball back. We play with a higher line of engagement and higher defensive line with more urgent pressing . We also use man marking. Almost every role in the tactic has player instructions.
