FM18 Tactic: Suk Sam 4-4-2

The classic 4-4-2 seems very powerful in FM 2018. Utilizing inverted winger and carrilero roles. Updated on November 10th with version 3.0.

Football Manager 2018 Tactics - FM18 Tactic: Suk Sam 4-4-2

In FM2018, the 4-4-2 formation is very powerful.

Inverted winger and Carrillero are wonderful chance makers.

ML and MR switch each other.

STL and STR switch each other.

I strongly recommend that you use this against 1 striker tactics.
When you face the teams with 2 strikers tactic, I recommend using my other FM18 tactic: Suk Sam 5-2-3 (3 strikers).

Team training : Balance-average (but adjust 'low' when there are 2 or more matches in one week)

pre-match prep. : Let your assistant handle it.

Individual trainings : adjust them by the injury susceptibility. (as same roll they do)

No OI's

Corner kicks : MCR or MCL

Changelog

v2.0
Some tweaks including 'drop deeper' 'offside trap' and individual instructions to reduce goals conceded.

v3.0 (fmf file)
It works very well with 18.1 patch.I tested this with West Brom.

Hi, my friend. May you give me answer for next question?
What about yellow cards/red cards/scored goals/missed goals/ "dry" matches/ average no. of passes/ average ball controll?
    Thanks=)

thx for your comment. It is hard to score in second half if you score a lot of goals in first half. because generally, the opposition team play more defensive.
anyways, I've never scored 8 goals in first half. congrat.

Tested this With Man City midseason away in the CL vs Bayern..... not trained it With the team at all: 8-0 lead after first half! Won the game 9-2 in the end. Totally outplayed, but clinical finishing. SO definately gonna test this tactic more.

good work. It is a good way to avoid sent off.
now I'm adjusting some minor tweaks to prevent goals received.

Amazing tactic. I have Hull City. Media prediction: 5th. After 23 games i am 1st with 14W 7D and 2L (one was 0-4 of course but never mind) and 51-27 goals. Let us know if you change anything in the future!

PS: My BWM gets a lot yellow cards. So after he gets one i change him to CM with maximum closing down and i choose "ease off tackles" to avoid get a red card.

    thx for your comment.
I got better result than no swapping. I recommned to swap al least 2 strikers each other.
    cheers. ;)

I've now played half a season with this - media predicted to finish looow in the league. I'm first, by 6 points by halfway.

Iøve simplified your tactic a little bit. Removed the position swapping. Sometimes I make the wingers regular wingers if my 2nd string backs ar playing, since they are mainly good at breathing.

The foodball played isnt always pretty - oftens its route on, to a fast striker, but sometimes they play like barcelona and pass the ball into the goal. Very consistent as well.

    Good job!
