Football Views - Summer Transfer Window Odds
Football wouldn't be complete without the constant drama of the transfer windows. Rumours spread across social networking sites, with fans believing numerous players will be joining their beloved side. Most of the rumours turn out to be false, but some, on that special occasion become true. These transfer windows bring in big opportunities for betting, with fans betting on who will stay, leave or join their side. Many companies, such as Betfair offer opportunities to bet on the players, but most notably, offer tips and odds on the likeliness of players making their dream moves, or dropping leagues.

Many big names float around the transfer window, being linked with many top sides, in which they could easily fit into the side. For example, Marouane Fellaini has been linked with moves away from Merseyside, either to join London side Arsenal, breaking their transfer record, or being reunited with former boss Moyes up in Manchester. There's also Cristiano Ronaldo's possibly of also joining United again. Leandro Damaio and Robert Lewandowski have also been linked to sides all around the world. Nevertheless, one of the biggest debates this season is Luis Suarez. Suarez has shown to be a key striker for Liverpool, scoring no less than 23 league goals last season. However, the Uruguayan managed to get himself into some trouble on pitch, which he has been noted for previously, meaning a move could be on the cards.

Real Madrid are the side linked to making the move for the striker most, with Higuain reportedly on his way out. Luis would undoubtedly cost at least £40 million, but Betfair are offering good odds towards his departure. With odds of 3/1 for Suarez to stay, and 1/5 for Suarez not wearing a Liverpool shirt when the season commences, Betfair show that with their key transfer knowledge, Suarez could well be on his way. Betting companies take a big role within the transfer window, with their decisions affecting, and changing the minds of football fans across the country, wanting to cash in while signing their needed players, or in this case, losing their key player.

With the transfer window a great time for betting to occur, Betfair are also offering odds of other big stars leaving. Gareth Bale is another Premier League star linked with a move abroad, and also to Real Madrid. Although David Moyes has stated his interest in the left-midfielder, shown by The Guardian, Madrid look the likelier side in gaining the signature of the Welshman, named as one of the best in the world by many pundits thanks to his recent phenomenal performances. However, Betfair seem to be suggesting the opposite to Luis Suarez. With Suarez likely to be on his way, Betfair suggest Bale will stay in London. With odds at 1/2 for Bale to stay with Spurs for the next season, it looks likely Premier League goalkeepers will be scared by the power and skill of the wing wizard. Odds of 11/8 for Bale to leave still show the possibility of a move is still there.

Manchester United are linked to alot of big stars, although with only Varela joining so far, and are also expected to see some players leave. Wayne Rooney has caused issues at the club before demanding to leave, but instead receiving a new contract. With Rooney requesting to leave once again. With many unsure about the situation, Betfair are offering odds on whether Wayne will be playing in a Manchester United shirt next season or not. At 8/13, it seems that Rooney will be staying at the club, or at least in the eyes of the bookmakers. Similarly to Bale, there is still the chance of a move away though, with Arsenal and Chelsea both interested, while Betfair offer odds of 6/5 for a departure.

Betting companies such as Betfair often play crucial roles in the decisions of others in the transfer window, and with more deals expected to be completed soon, who will cash in, and will betting companies have success before the transfer window slams shut.
