I have followed Man United for many years but has recently lost some interest in what has happened with the club ever since the Glazers entry. Today I do not recognize anything anymore.
Never mind. I always start playing with Man United on all new FM but it's not so exciting after a few seasons when I won everything and has £200 000 000 in transfer budget. I sometimes think back on old times before United was a major power in football and before the various imports over the world took over the Premier League. (I am a big fan of own talents and domestic players) I have thus made an editor database that will provide a real challenge as manager of Man United. It should of course be doable, but challenging.
The database I have is from about 14/6 2016, when Bailey was in the United squad and Newcastle play Skybet 1 and so on.
Before the season, the club is tipped to come in 17th place. I have as solicitation strategy to focus on the British players. Have yourself bought Will Hughes, Rico, Henry, Louis Reed at the start of the season.
In January window I managed to tie up Nathan Redmond and Callum Chambers. (Got to increased wage budget at the request of the Board). I myself is in fourth place in February, 2016.
Started with 4-2-3-1 but was beaten away from home, and the "bigger" teams. So I changed to a 4-1-2-3 and it went better. Have had some luck and no major victories, but it is great fun.
