XXL version improvements:
Compatible with the final FM 18.3 database.
+30,000 database changes (73,727 total changes)
I took the Database updates from the FM18 Transfer & Data Update by pr0 + FMTU. I only used the transfers update, the injury update, added the 45 new wonderkids and included the CA/PA changes.
There are NO league or structure changes from the XL version, only 18.3 compatibility.
If you are already playing an XL version game, there is no reason to start again, unless you want to!
There are NO database conflicts or errors. I've been playing the XL version for 10 full seasons with FC United, and I also simulated 50 years.
XL version improvements:
+17,000 database changes (47,000 total changes)
+80 new clubs (652 total clubs)
Additional graphics
Enhanced gameplay
Improved match scheduling
Improved league rules like U21's can play matches without registration.
Added all the league and cup history (past winners) and records.
Improved TV and prize pool money and distribution.
About 50 hours extra time editing; my entire weekend, and a few evenings.
WSL Highlights
- 7 weeks work (weekends and nights). I started editing the day the game was launched, I haven't even played the game yet, I've just been working on this scenario and simulating games
- Over 47,000 Database changes (17,000 added in the XL version)
- 652 clubs; 12 levels; 58 countries, 24 groups in total; the Premier league has 20 clubs, most other groups have 24 clubs
- The top 174 clubs by reputation are included (all clubs with 6300+ reputation).
- All playable clubs from England are included. I also included many old clubs (oldest 3 clubs in England as well as oldest clubs from most countries)
- 300 awards, 4 Cups
- Every team has an Under 23 and Under 18 team; this took the longest time editing; because I gave them custom names and reputation; and I had to move all the staff and players from the B teams in other leagues, into their parent club (the Spanish clubs are especially painful). This took me about 3 weeks.
- Custom graphics; league logos and backgrounds
- High quality, very well balanced (hundreds of hours of simulations)
- Very challenging due to the strength of the competition in each league. I've never seen a club win the treble!
- Re-balanced all other leagues reputations (Formula: Average reputation divided by 40 = new league reputation)
- Re-balanced all clubs and Nations Youth Ratings, Facilities; Players Wages, Transfer Values etc.
- All clubs are still `based` in their own native country!
- Unlike other Super League scenarios, teams are not seeded by their reputation. Originally the teams were seeded by the squad salary values, then through many simulations, the teams went through a series of promotions and relegations (I simulated the 2017/2018 season about 20 times)! I don't use reputation to seed the clubs, because it's very inaccurate when it comes to the actual clubs strength. Every league has their yo-yo teams, which are hard to seed.
- Includes the standard Transfer windows, 25 player squads, `3 from 7` subs etc.
- The Champions League has been re-worked to only include clubs from the WSL. The new World Champions League now includes 128 clubs in the group stage from the top 6 divisions! Also, instead of only having 4 teams per group, there are 8 teams per group, so you play 14 matches in the group stage. 16 groups, top 2 teams advance, so 32 teams leave the group stage.
- The lower divisions (Division 1 ~ 6) have a `Europa League`.
- The lowest divisions (Division 5 & 6) are essentially just the Vanarama National leagues (lots of semi-pro clubs), with some extra clubs. If you want to start playing from a mid-league or top-league club, you can remove the bottom two leagues, and only play from Division 4 and above.
- Cup and League schedules have been very carefully balanced so the matches don't overlap; through many hours of simulations. You will have to play 68 league and cup games in the season to make it to the Champions League and FA Cup final. But you should have at least 2 days rest between games.
- Extensive league and cup history (past winners) and records have been added.
- Improved TV and prize pool money and distribution.
- Most other leagues are NOT playable anymore, this is not an issue. You only need England! Most leagues don't have enough professional clubs to function anymore. This will NOT cause a problem, I've simulated the game far into the future without any crashes or instability etc.

It will be released when I'm happy with it. I'm not 100% sure when that will be (possibly in 2 weeks, if I'm lucky), I work on it every weekend and every evening. I use the advanced rules to create this league, as far as I know, this is the only super league to use advanced rules, which take longer to edit. With advanced rules I'm able to do things like move clubs from the Champions League qualifiers into the Europa League (you cannot do this in the simplified rules). But there are MANY advanced features I've learnt to use this year through a lot of trial and error, especially for league and cup scheduling that have taken me a long time to get right.
Also, another thing that took a while to get right was team registrations, I experimented with many different combinations. I'm very happy with the outcome of these experiments, I've added AI specific rules, which improve the overall team quality of the AI clubs. I've finally seen big clubs have up to 30 senior team players. Normally the AI only has 23-25 players in their first teams. But these new rules make the AI much smarter!
I also have 45GB of simulated data from 17 different versions I've made, so this will be the very best version I've ever made, and the best super league style mod ever made for FM.
One thing I must prepare you for; is that I've decided to reduce the total number of clubs to 572, but I believe in quality over quantity, so every club will be re-balanced to fit into the overall game world, so no matter what club you take, from bottom to top, there will be a fantastic long term experience just waiting for you. There should be around 50,000 players loaded with a small DB, so there should be more than enough players in the game world to enjoy!
I've created versions (and simulations) with 1504 clubs, 1248 clubs, 832 clubs, 784 clubs and 668 clubs. This version (18.3) had 652 clubs and after 14 seasons the save game is 350MB, and the game got very slow for me by the end. So my focus over the last week was to reduce the number of clubs, but increase the overall quality of the clubs, leagues, cups, finances, wages etc. My aim in reducing the overall number of clubs is to make the game faster to process, because it gets very slow after a few years; but keep the overall quality as high as possible! The simulation I'm currently running with 572 clubs is in 2029, and it's looking fantastic. Still very playable and responsive, and the save is only 202MB after 11 years. Even after 11 years, it takes only 40 minutes to simulate 3 months, compared to 1504 clubs which takes 3 hours to simulate 3 months after only 3 years! 3 hours vs. 40 minutes just for processing 3 months!
Also, the leagues will have a unique (but familiar) layout, and I worked on the league schedules for at least 2 weeks, to get every schedule of every club near perfect.
Another thing I do, which takes a long time, is to move all the youth players from the youth teams back into their parent clubs (like the Barcelona and Real Madrid youth, I must do this for about 200 clubs, which takes a long time).
I'm also busy making several AI improvements, to make the AI managers smarter! Some rules I can set for AI managers and AI clubs in the advanced rules, others I make directly to the managers. They should be smarter and harder this year! I'm also considering releasing these AI changes separately!
It's taking a bit longer than expected, because I originally planned to release a 784 club version, so worked on that for a while, but it became very slow during testing, so I reduced it to 668 clubs, then again to 572 clubs.
I put a lot of time and effort into this mod, because I will personally spend the next 11 months, and thousands of hours playing it. So I want it to be the best and most enjoyable version ever! So believe me when tell you that I can't wait to play this as well! But it must be ready for a long term campaign! Hope you guys are patient, I know there are other super leagues out there, but none will compare to this one!

I'm waiting for the editor to be updated before I can continue ....
Anyone else also working on a release of this?
Indeed. All clubs have 23/24/25 (max) players on their first team.
I'm VERY happy you made a custom game with custom rules, I think it makes the game more personal to your taste and style! Your game sounds very interesting to play. Do you see the AI also use/register 28 players? I think the AI doesn't register or buy enough players to fill the squad for the long season.
Edited new rules, 4 subs from 9 benched players, because the competitions here are very hard.
Clubs must have only 3 loaned players in the match squad
Clubs must have 3 players trained by the club in the match squad
Clubs can register 28 players. (It’s a long season with many cups)
Harder suspension rules. 1st suspension, 1 game. 2nd suspension 2 games and in the following suspensions the player will be suspended for 3 games.
Much higher prize money in all divisions and no debt whatsoever for clubs. (I think you could increase prize money in you future release)
For the FM19 version, I will make fewer divisions but add more clubs, fewer divisions means you can go up the leagues faster, but I will make more groups in each `level` (so I will make it wider but shorter). 12 Divisions from the bottom is a very long game! I'm only in League 2 ... but it's VERY rewarding and challenging! I will probably make 8 or maximum 10 divisions in FM19, but over 1000 clubs! My club FC United of Manchester started in Division 6 at the bottom, with a club value of 0 and only 500 supporters, now we have 25,000 supporters and the club value is 360 million. I know my players very well, as half my squad has been with me for 3 or 4 seasons, travelling up the divisions. But I wish I was in the Premier League already!
Anyway, this is actually my 3rd or 4th database, I made an ESL (European Super League) last year which had over 5000 downloads. So my next version will be the best version. I will probably take me 1 or 2 months to make it, but I start editing from the day of release. For now, I'm playing and trying to get into the Premier League!
@Teknik Direktör Have you played this already? What do you think?
