Dear all

This FLUTSKIN version 16 is the final version of FLUTSKIN for FM21!!

A great thank you to all FM fans who choose to play with FLUTSKIN and always keep me motivated to still improving the skin and gave me new ideas!!!

A special thank you to all of players who decided to distinguish my work with a donation!! Although just a small part of FM Players who use the skin made a donation (I edited the skin as a hobby and, as you know, completely free), I always feel honoured and happy when people recognize the work done and decide to contribute. So, I reinforce, I have to give a special thank you to that friends of FlutsKin!!!!!!

Also a recognized thank you to those one who help me answering the questions and requests and adapted the FlutSkin (namely and specially Rosek for the adapted version for 2560x1440, and Richbell, for the adapted version with hidden attributes!!!!! ).
And, of course I don't forget the skinners community who also indirectly contributed to FlutSkin with their creativity.

Also a special thank you to PATRES10, from fmslovakia for the 2D default kits (especially tailor-made for FlutSkin) anf to Michael Murray since I started editing the match inbetween highlights panel based on his amazing work!!

Now is time to stop editing the skin for this season. I wish to return for FM22. Lets wait and see since no one is able to predict the future.

MAIN CHANGES IN v16.0
- Following the great idea of majesticeternity, Tyburn and a31632 (from Sports Interactive community) I included in several xmls a code for personalize the background in specific panels, namely club overview, player overview, board room, human profile and team training. These codes are not “activated” by default but if you want to have a different (customized) background in each one of that panels you just have to activate the codes. In the read me file I explain how you can do it.

The Skin pack also includes:
1. “Round country flags”, “round continents logos” and default logos specially made in metallic style by BRIAN-Q from sourtitoutsi. Those graphics will be displayed in the title bar.
2. Background maps for confederations, also made by brian-q. Thank you brian by your great work and for your collaboration!!!

You can download the 2D packs prepared for Flutskin (titlebar and player overview panel). For that you should search for that kits pack elsewhere since the download link in FMScout is down due copyright issues.
However, if you prefer edit your own kits, I also included in the pack a .pdf file explaining how you can edit the kits for Flutskin.

For those who want to make the game more difficult, now you also can download an adapted version of the skin (v. 15) with the attributes values hidden. This adapted version was an idea of richbell and, although with my help, it was richbell who also did the majority of the changes. Thank you my friend!
PLEASE NOE THAT FOR THIS VERSION WITH HIDDEN ATTRIBUTES WORKING WELL YOU SHOULD REMOVE THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE SKIN

Important note regarding TV LOGOS:
Although the default tv logo is the one I use, of course you can easily change it; for that you just have to go to skin/graphics/icons/tv logos. In that folder there is a alt folder with many TV logos. You just have to replace the tv logo.png and the tv [email protected] for that one you want. Of course you should rename the new logos as tv logo and tv logo@2x. You also can use other logos made by you. The procedure to use them is exactly the same. However, I should remember that yo should use logos with the right height. For tv logo you should use 25px and for the @2x you should use 50px.

Resolution requirements:
This skin was made to work properly in 3840x2160 (4K with windows display settings 200%) and also 1920x1080 (1080p) full screen mode, sidebar icons only. As a result, some panels won’t work properly in other resolutions..


How to add Flut Skin in FM21

Download and extract the .rar file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Place the "fm2021flutskin_dark" folder here:
Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\skins

  1. Create the folder "skins" if it doesn't exist.
  2. Start FM21 and go to Preferences screen and then into the Interface tab.
  3. You should see FM 2021 Flut Skin dark - Version 16.0 as an option in the skin drop down of the Overview box.
  4. Hit the Confirm button.

Please note this skin is provided as is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them.

    Hi Flut!! So glad you made your skin for fm21 too, I waited since day one, was my only and favourite in FM20. Great work as usual, just a little bug observing the home manager screen (sorry if this is already known): three of the panels are double, if you can look my pic; I've tried to change them, but everytime the home manager appears, they came back. Is it possible to make those edited for good? btw, keep up with your fantastic work, I appreciate a lot!!

I have an idea; is it possible?? idea is that; player profile file(s) in fm 20 dark flut skin changing same file(s) in fm 21 dark skin. what do u think for trying?? I hope, u understand me

    Hi all

    Since I noticed that the skin doesn't work so well as I expected in 1920x1080 and the majority of FM players use that resolution, I'm now adjusting the skin in order to make it tottaly compatible with 1920x1080 (100% zoom), icons only, full window. The skin also will be compatible with 4K, 100% but with 200% in display settings of the windows.

    Thus, since I have to work on the adjustment, editing again many xmls I already edited, I will not answer any questions untill the update. Sorry.

    reinergu: I again. I did some experiences and I believe I can do the skin work properly in 1920x1080 100% zoom. I'm working on it and sooner I will do un update, totally compatible with taht screen resolution (I hope).

    reinergu: I, finally took a look at 1920x1080 resolution, although in my 4K screen. In fact with 85% zoom, icons only, full window, the skin works very well (just one or two small things are not perfect adjusted - one or two little things). I believe in a normal HD the text can be aa little bit small than desirable...However, if I will do the skin for 100 zoom in 1920x1080 it will be not adjusted for my screen and...I can't play with that. Honestly, and I'm sorry for that, I have no time to manage two different resolutions of the skin. Thus, unfortunately, I will keep with the way I started this year and I apologize the fact that people playing with 1920x1080 have to play with this skin in 85% zoom.

    zabak: thanks. Regarding that panel, I did not change anything in the inbox panel (just the heading). Thus, I beg your patience. When I start to look and try to change some things in this panel I will try to make it transparent (for other skin versions).


    reinergu: thanks for your kind words and to resist to cheat me lol. In fact when I sarted to work in the skin I thought I could make it in 4K and, as for last year using 200% in order to be adjusted for 1920x1080. The skin don’t have that option this year….I know that 1920x1080 will be most required for the majority of players….For now, unfortunately, I can’t test it in 1920x1080. I will try to think in a solution in order to try to do the skin for that resolution but I don’t know when it will be possible (in fact with so many requests and questions I couldn’t do anything new in the skin…I believe I have to stop answer the questions since in that way I never can improve the skin…just answer the questions…..). Sorry, for now.

    Backgrounds can't see because of there is not transparent.

    Hi Flut,

    first of all let me thank you for your amazing skin. Playing with your Skins for years now.

    2 years have passed and so it was time for a new version of the Football Manager and let me say, I've waited with playing until you've released your skin.

    But, unfortunately, you've changed the resolution of your skin. In FM19 I've had no problems. Now I've set the zoom to 85% and let me say, after playing a few hours today, my eyes are very tired because it's simply to small on a normal HD resolution of 1920*1080. :-(

    So I looked out to other skins with a bad feeling of cheating you. :-P But, as it is with a perfect lady, you'll find no other you'd like to cheat with. Your skin is simply the best one.

    And so I'm asking you, is there a chance that you release a version in HD resolution (1920*1080), too?

    It would be really appreciated because I think that many other users use that standard resolution.

    Thank you once again and I'm looking forward to your answer.

    @Max Power: thanks. Regarding your questions:
    1. I don’t know if I understood. In the skin you have na option to choose the picture with the stadium in background (option player flut satdium in the drop dow arrow);
    2. That kit is there for when you don’t have the 2D kits adapted for flutskin. If you use FC styke kits, that kit willo be hidden nehind the 2DKit adapted for flutskin. However if you want you can adjust the position of that kit or remove it. The code is the following (in player overview panel.xml, for the option “player fut stadium”)

    4. Yes, since the skin use backgrounds ability, if you want to keep an specific background you have to choose it in the background selector but if you quit the game, when you reload it you have to choose the background again.
    However, if you want to not use backgrounds pictures you can do the following:
    go to client object browser.xml and change

    5. Don’t forget that for nations you have to replace “team” by “nation” and not for club.
    @mdrup: I really don’t know what causes that bug and thus I can’t solve it. In my game that bug sometimes happens but only when I go to the national team first and, after, to the player panel. But, as I said, I really don’t know why it happens and how to solve that weird bug. Sorry…

    @1nscrutable: Sorry if I was not clear. You should open the settings xml of the skin and not the fmf file of the game.
