Borussia Dortmund typically uses a 3+1 formation to build out from the back, with the '6' dropping in between or to the left of the center-backs. Then, in order to make room for "up-back-and-throughs," they advance by placing others between the lines or floating around.
When the full-backs retain their width, Julian Brandt, Jude Bellingham, and Marco Reus may all go towards the ball at various points to receive. Because he prefers to invert higher on the field, Raphael Guerreiro benefits from having the more direct winger on his side.
Today we tested with 4 teams, 2 from Each Variant of this tactic.
As I can only uploaded 1 tactic, the one you will be downloading is the 4231. However if you wish to also download the second tactic mentioned, feel free to check out the below video. Any support is massively appreciated.
