Football Manager 2024 League Updates - CONCACAF Leagues for FM24 by MasterIgor v24.7 (with Coefficients)
Hello everyone,

here is the league pack for all nations/federations in North America, Central Americ and the Caribbean.

From v24.5, there is the option to use 5 year coefficients for the continental cups (Caribbean & Central America only). The coefficients start being used after the 3rd year. So expect changes to the allocation of qualifying slots after that.
It was very hard to get this right for CONCACAF and I had to use a LOT of tricks to get it working at all. Please see the readme.html for more details.

! for Official 24.3.0 Update Database only !
Creating the world is a very time consuming task, and I do not have the time to support and test all databases. So I am going with the latest version only. The bright side is that it is for free. Tips are more than welcome though :-)

This file contains leagues and cups in real formats for all member federations of the CONCACAF.
I also added a file for the CONCACAF Continental Cups, which I strongly recommend to use because the original game rules have issues.

please see the readme.html for details.

Changelog:
v24.7
- fixed coefficient system - which unfortunately was not working correct and only reported recently
v24.6
- Added 2024 format for Caribbean Shield
- Added 2024 format for Leagues Cup
- Refactored 2023 Caribbean Shield and Caribbean Cup to use real life teams
- Refactored coefficient system (was not working properly - it still isn't perfect but it's much better)
v24.5
- Added Coefficients to the continental competitions for Central America and Caribbean.
- Canada (CAN): fixed registrations in League1
- USA: fixed history of USL Championship and USL Division 1
- Bermuda (BER): fixed match rules for old/young players
- Aruba (ARU): fixed missing history and views of Gold/Silver League
- Mexico (MEX): fixed registration and dates for Liga Premier A
- US Virgin Islands (VIR): refactored to enable more than 2 teams qualifying for continental cups. Fixed missing history.
- Nicaragua (NCA): hide stage used for ranking (no impact on actual league format)
v24.4
- Costa Rica (CRC): fixed double entry in history when grand final was not necessary
- CRC, NCA: fixed vanishing cup names after loading a save game
v24.3
- CAY, DOM: optimizations of youth/reserve teams for better squads (by DaveIncid)
v24.2
- All Nations & Continental Cups: Update to Database 24.3.0
- Continental: Fixed match rules for continental cups (previously all had the Canadian rules limitations)
- Continental: Leagues Cup now takes place every year (not every 2 years) - I changed update day for Continental Cups to Jun 30 to achieve this
- All Nations: Fixed registration issue causing teams to register only youth players (happened for competitions with groups/subcompetitions)
- Barbados (BRB): format for 2024 added: 2023 season transitions from 12 teams to 10 teams in 2024
- Cayman Islands (CAY): changed update day to june 30 (was august 31). This fixes Cayman Islands qualification to continental cup in same year
- Added tv money for Central American Nations
v24.1
- added reserve teams where missing, this reduces the size of the senior squad: AIA, ATG, BAH, BRB, CAN, CAY, CRC, DOM, GUY, LCA, PAN, SMN, SXM, TCA, TRI, VGB and VIR
- Changed Panamu U-20 teams (in 2nd tier) type from B team to U20
- CONCACAF Central American Cup: added real prize money
- CONCACAF Champions Cup: prize money is set to increase 5 times, but details not available so I was creative and will update using the exact amounts when it is published

I would like to thank:
- Nuno from Portugal for research and testing
- Lars for testing and feedback
- DaveIncid for testing and advice

I wish you a lot of success in your managerial adventures in the Americas.

Master Igor.

Thats why I did a no coefficients file, but sadly enough it has the mistake. But I will fix it.

@MasterIgor: honestly for me, if I had a file where everything was kept fixed for Caribbean Cup spots, I would be happy with that. Right now I've gone back to FM23 and I am using your files to have a Caribbean save on there. Would much rather play on 24 with the new custom match engines, but either way really appreciate all of your work!

Just did the long in-game test, and you are right. It also happens with the coefficients file.
This means the behaviour of the game and the editor are not the same. :(
I will have to see what I can do about this.

Can confirm after 3 seasons it always defaults to Barbados, Anguilla, Cuba and St Martin clubs every time no matter if i use Coefficient file or NoCoefficient file with only your files selected. I'm going to redownload the entire league files and test again
  • simspring506's avatar
@MasterIgor: I appreciate you looking into this. No additional files were used, only your CONCACAF file and league files were active. I will test again with the Coefficient file on my end

@simspring506: You are right, the NoCoeffcient File is incorrect. It didn't take the 4 fixed nations. This mistake I can fix.
But I simulated several times the file with coeffcients and I didn't see any extreme changes. Even after 10 years, 2 of the original nations were still in the top 4, and the other were replaced by well performing nations in the continental competitions.
I will continue to investigate. DId you use any other files that modify CONCACAF? any additional continental competitions or some changes to nations other than mine?

@MasterIgor I can confirm even using NoCoefficient file, the top Caribbean countries lose their qualification spots in the Cup after 3 seasons. I just simulated to August 2026 and checked

@MasterIgor thank you, I'm certain I started another save with the NoCoefficient file, but the same outcome occurred after the 3rd season. I'm 99% positive I switched the files before starting new save but I haven't had a chance to test it out again

@simspring506: I will investigate this. I also have a file without coefficients by the way. This will keep Jamaica Trinidad Tobago and Domenican Republic as top 3

Just played 3 seasons with the Concacaf No Coefficient file and the Caribbean Cup is still messed up. Once again, the same countires mentioned below get qualification spots. Unfortunate as this could've been the absolute best Caribbean database
  • simspring506's avatar
Ah I see now, sorry for the spam. But you mention after the 3rd year that's when custom coefficients kicks in and that's the year the Caribbean Cup switches from the top clubs in Caribbean to Anguila, Barbados, Cuba and Saint Martin clubs instead
  • simspring506's avatar
Yeah something has to be wrong after reading the readme.html file. There's no way Saint Martin, Anguila and Barbados have higher coefficient than Jamaica, Trinidad and Haiti
  • simspring506's avatar
How does the coefficent work for the Caribbean Cup? It's supposed to be the top Caribbean competition and after 10 seasons it has almost turned into a joke. There used to be 2 Jamaican, Haitian, Trinidadian, Dominican etc. Clubs and now sometimes there is 2 clubs from Anguila and Barbados. Anguila is the 65th ranked league in the region and compared to my club in the Bermudan league ranked at 45 we don't even get qualification unless it's through the Shield

@Masterlgor This pack is amazing. But... Can you fix MLS please? It's sorta unplayable right now... You play matches every 3-4 days almost the whole season. IRL the MLS season starts the last weekend in february, and ends the third weekend in october. Then the post-season starts... That's not how it's set up in FM. Would love an update with this fix. Recon the the spread out timeframe spreads out the games as well.
  • simspring506's avatar
@Masterlgor dang! that's okay, i can live with it. i'm 3 seasons in and don't plan on restarting and it still shows up when I check the competitions tab for my club and i still got the prize money so i can't complain
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@simspring506: hello, yes I just checked that I entered the wrong stage nr for the history record, so this is a mistake by me :(
I will add it to my list of things to fix, when I get to that.
  • simspring506's avatar
Hi, I'm really enjoying the database so far! I just somehow managed to win the Caribbean Shield with a Bermudian club and I noticed the history doesn't update on the shield and the trophy doesn't appear for my club. Is this because it's a competition you had to manually add? (The previous winner from the season before isn't listed nor do they have it in their trophy cabinet)
  • KalebENRH's avatar
thx, ill try to do it
  • jcmi's avatar
@Materlogor you are correct. There is almost no info on the league and the website hasn't updated on the news tab on their website since 2021. Most info about extinct teams was found via internet archive of their website scores. Also it's reported the USL will bring a team to PR
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@kalebENRH: it is a simple change. If you open my MEX.fmf file in the editor, you will see that there are 2 sets of rules for the top 3 tiers. One is for 2023-2025 and the other for 2026 onwards.
under Requirements for each of the rules you will find either an end year (2025) or a start year (2026).
You will need to edit those years to for example end year 2023 and start year 2024. Then the promotion/relegation will begin in the year 2024.
Then verify the file again and it should load in the game.
  • KalebENRH's avatar
is there a way to make the promotion/relegation sooner on Liga MX? What thing do i have to edit to make it happen on 2025 for example?
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@jcmi: the game starts in the 2023-2024 season, and in that season the Puerto Rico league has 8 teams including the 2 you say are extinct. This is why they are there.
  • jcmi's avatar
In PUR Academia Quintana, Metropolitan, Caguas Sporting, PR Surf, San Juan, MK Elite, Mayagüez FC, PR Sol, Caribe, and Fraigcomar are the only active teams.

Guayama and Don Bosco are either extinct or women's teams at the moment.

@asvpbrvn: glad to read that :)
