Football Manager 2024 League Updates - CONCACAF Leagues for FM24 by MasterIgor v24.7 (with Coefficients)
Hello everyone,

here is the league pack for all nations/federations in North America, Central Americ and the Caribbean.

From v24.5, there is the option to use 5 year coefficients for the continental cups (Caribbean & Central America only). The coefficients start being used after the 3rd year. So expect changes to the allocation of qualifying slots after that.
It was very hard to get this right for CONCACAF and I had to use a LOT of tricks to get it working at all. Please see the readme.html for more details.

! for Official 24.3.0 Update Database only !
Creating the world is a very time consuming task, and I do not have the time to support and test all databases. So I am going with the latest version only. The bright side is that it is for free. Tips are more than welcome though :-)

This file contains leagues and cups in real formats for all member federations of the CONCACAF.
I also added a file for the CONCACAF Continental Cups, which I strongly recommend to use because the original game rules have issues.

please see the readme.html for details.

Changelog:
v24.7
- fixed coefficient system - which unfortunately was not working correct and only reported recently
v24.6
- Added 2024 format for Caribbean Shield
- Added 2024 format for Leagues Cup
- Refactored 2023 Caribbean Shield and Caribbean Cup to use real life teams
- Refactored coefficient system (was not working properly - it still isn't perfect but it's much better)
v24.5
- Added Coefficients to the continental competitions for Central America and Caribbean.
- Canada (CAN): fixed registrations in League1
- USA: fixed history of USL Championship and USL Division 1
- Bermuda (BER): fixed match rules for old/young players
- Aruba (ARU): fixed missing history and views of Gold/Silver League
- Mexico (MEX): fixed registration and dates for Liga Premier A
- US Virgin Islands (VIR): refactored to enable more than 2 teams qualifying for continental cups. Fixed missing history.
- Nicaragua (NCA): hide stage used for ranking (no impact on actual league format)
v24.4
- Costa Rica (CRC): fixed double entry in history when grand final was not necessary
- CRC, NCA: fixed vanishing cup names after loading a save game
v24.3
- CAY, DOM: optimizations of youth/reserve teams for better squads (by DaveIncid)
v24.2
- All Nations & Continental Cups: Update to Database 24.3.0
- Continental: Fixed match rules for continental cups (previously all had the Canadian rules limitations)
- Continental: Leagues Cup now takes place every year (not every 2 years) - I changed update day for Continental Cups to Jun 30 to achieve this
- All Nations: Fixed registration issue causing teams to register only youth players (happened for competitions with groups/subcompetitions)
- Barbados (BRB): format for 2024 added: 2023 season transitions from 12 teams to 10 teams in 2024
- Cayman Islands (CAY): changed update day to june 30 (was august 31). This fixes Cayman Islands qualification to continental cup in same year
- Added tv money for Central American Nations
v24.1
- added reserve teams where missing, this reduces the size of the senior squad: AIA, ATG, BAH, BRB, CAN, CAY, CRC, DOM, GUY, LCA, PAN, SMN, SXM, TCA, TRI, VGB and VIR
- Changed Panamu U-20 teams (in 2nd tier) type from B team to U20
- CONCACAF Central American Cup: added real prize money
- CONCACAF Champions Cup: prize money is set to increase 5 times, but details not available so I was creative and will update using the exact amounts when it is published

I would like to thank:
- Nuno from Portugal for research and testing
- Lars for testing and feedback
- DaveIncid for testing and advice

I wish you a lot of success in your managerial adventures in the Americas.

Master Igor.

Salem , I'm so grateful for your Diamond Effort to make a game more realistic but I request to improve MLS and add FC San Diego as new club and Thanks a bunch Cordially <3 <3 <3

Hi MasterIgor, all the packs are finished? Or are you working in anyone??

    Thanks a lot mate!

If you mean the history of who won in what year and so on, that can just be added to the database. You will have to create a .fmf file and make database changes. Those changes should then be in the game when you load that file when you start a new game.

I've really enjoyed the mods and I am rather new to FM. I've been playing in central America and just had a question about the history of the leagues. Is there a way we could go in ourselves and edit the history of the leagues in the Editor, or would we have to create a completely new database ourselves?

@bhardy1986: I could add that yes, will keep it in mind when I do an update
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@fwied: I think it makes sense to do that yes but I will check when I get to that

If I could make a suggestion, would it make sense for the Costa Rican 2nd division to have relegation and have the game randomly choose which team gets promoted? It gets sort of boring as there's always the same teams except for the one that goes up. Then again if I just got promoted I wouldn't have this problem haha

Will you add San Diego in to the MLS?

@bhardy1986: yes, the best teams from 2nd tier. Those are the winners of apertura and clausura, and the rest shoud be according to overall ranking.

Thank you for all your leagues. Having a lot of fun on my save managing in the 2nd tier of Costa Rican football.

I have a question though, what determines qualification for the Costa Rican Cup for teams in the 2nd division? I assume it's the best ones, but I can't find anywhere in the game that states that.

@jexci: I received a similar report by email recently. So today I did a test game until 2035 and all was fine.
Could you share the save maybe?

I've noticed a problem on v24.7 where from 2026 a random nation has more teams in the caribbean shield than they should (as little as 3 to as many as 8), and then from 2028 it started happening to the caribbean cup too. Currently in my save jamaica has 6 of the 30 spots in the shield and curacao has 6 of the 10 spots in the cup and so teams don't always qualify for these competitions even winning the league. The central america cup sometimes only has 5 nations too. Weirdly I just checked an old save from last year that was on v24.6 and everything worked as it should do even way into the future

Muchas gracias MasterIgor, te agradezco que me contestaras tan rapido, un fuerte abrazo y de nuevo muchas gracias por tu enorme trabajo.

@Vivaldo: sorry I don't speak spanish. I used google translate.

But the answer is yes, I also had this problem. It is because the original Central Amercian Cup in FM24 has an error: the host nation is set to Jamaica. Therefore, the participating clubs "travel" and don't play domestic league games in that time. Costa Rica and Honduras have a schedule with a lot of matches, and because of this travel, the clubs in Central American Cup sometimes cannot play all games in the league in time, and you get the error that the league did not finish in time.

    Here are some tips:
    - you can increase the time window where league matches can be played (but I did not do this because I wanted realism)
    - sometimes you can retry validation and it can work if the random generator eliminates the teams from the cup sooner rather than later. (this is what I do - but you may have to retry 25 to 50 times to get it to work)

    - I also strongly advise to use my CONCACAF continental cup file in the game, because it fixes the bug from orginal FM (the host nation is removed).

Muchas gracias.
  • quattromori's avatar
sorry, I meant the list of winners
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@RogerCespe: (I used google translate) there is an alternative file CONCACAF_NoCoefficients.fmf which doesn't use the coefficients.
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@quattromori: could you please explain what roll of honor is? I don't know what you mean.
  • quattromori's avatar
hi master, is it possible to make the caribbean shield roll of honor update like the caribbean cup?
  • RogerCespe's avatar
Olá meu amigo tem como usar a concacaf sem o sistema de coeficiente ? Ja tentei criar uma nova db usando a sua de base mas da erro quando removo os coeficientes , poderia ajudar-me por favor!
  • MasterIgor's avatar
@simspring506: that is up to you. Coefficients will see some movements. If you prefer it fixed, then use the noCoefficients file. Perhaps first do a 10 year holiday simulation to see the effects. And then start the save with what you like most?
  • simspring506's avatar
When starting new save with the updated file, do I use CONCACAF.fmf or NoCoefficient
  • simspring506's avatar
    @MasterIgor thank you!

Hi! Thank you again for updating the rules for the new seasons!

I have a question and a request to look into the USA Championship regarding the rules for foreign players. In the game, you can only have 5 in the squad, but judging by the squads that they play in the league, there are definitely more of these players. Unfortunately, I did not find the rules described anywhere in my language, but maybe you will succeed :)

    Greetings!
