UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FORMAT 2010s
- ONLY national champions enter the UEFA Champions League. The top 24 countries qualify directly for the group stage, while the remaining federations (including Russia) play in the qualifying round. Those defeated in the first qualifying round advance to the Europa League qualifying round, while those who lose in the second qualifying round relegate to the UEL group stage.
- The 32 teams are divided into eight groups, with the top two advancing to the round of 16 and continuing with the cup normally, and the third-placed teams qualifying for the UEFA Europa League round of 16.
- The Europa League has a 64-team qualifying round featuring a team from the top 48 countries on the coefficient list and the 16 losers from the UCL qualifying round. Four teams advance to the group stage.
- In the group stage, the eight losers from the UCL qualifying round + two teams from the top four countries in the coefficient table plus a team with a 5-16 coefficient table await.
- The top two advance to the round of 32 and meet the UCL losers in the round of 16.
