Football Manager 2026 League Updates - AFC Leagues for FM26 by MasterIgor v26.3 (men only)

Hello everyone,

In the link is the league pack for all nations/federations in Asia. It also includes the continental competitions for AFC which are based on my solution for FM24 but with more accurate rules.

Currently only men's competitions are included.

! for Official 26.0.0 Update Database only !
Creating the world is a very time consuming task, and I do not have the time to support and test all databases. So I am going with the latest version only. The bright side is that it is for free. Tips are more than welcome though :-)

This file contains leagues and cups in real formats for all member federations of the AFC.

Changes in v26.3:
- Indonesia: changed O35 and U21 player restrictions for Championship
- Saudi Arabia: Fixed missing transfer windows
- Vietnam: file is now verified
Changes in v26.2:
- Indonesia: Updated correct format for Liga Nusantara
- Japan: Updated foreigner rules
- Malaysia: Corrected Malaysian Cup Format
- Qatar: Updated foreigner rules
- Vietnam: Fixed TV Money / Prize money

I think I found a bug that after I registered 35 players in ACL2, before the ACL2 match it still said that those players are not registered, but before going to the match, it will show a message that "23 players will be registered" and can still move on to the match. I am using Hong Kong Premier League teams and used all of the database here.

hey @masterigor Please change the Indonesian Division 2 (Championship) so that the final is neutral, not at the home stadium, because that's how it reads as normal matvh, there is no trophy lifting session after winning the final.

just make it easy igor, make the top three qualify for AFC ELITE as you did in your database, just make the winner of the saudi cup qualify to AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TWO, without the fourth placed team qualify if you cant what ahmed told you, and yes the registration period is opend at anytime becuase look at top teams how they choose the forigen players, they change them based on the importance of the match, im form saudi and i see what does happen, didnt found a official post for this rule sadly, also remove the same ownership group rule because the four top teams can easily buy and loan eachother players easily.

How about igor you just make the fourth placed team go to Asia two without the winner of the Saudi cup qualifying in Saudi league database, and please remove the same ownership rules from the Saudi league teams please

Igor you have to remove the same ownership rules for these teams (Al hilal) (Al Ahli) (Al ittihad) (A nassr), because in real life its okay to sign each other players

AFC Champions League: Why not League format with 12 teams? Its groups with 4 teams each?

Okay igor but can’t you atleast edit it, like in the Saudi database you put the third and the fourth positions (based on the winner of Saudi cup) just make the winner of the Saudi cup qualify for the Asia TWO, and put the fourth position only (based on the winner of Saudi cup) please 🙏

To be clear: The foreign rule is incorrect in the official database. In AFC Champions League.

Is that fixed in this db?

About registration, I based it on the rule book
See paragraph 13.1, registration exclusively during periods. If my source is wrong please provide me with official source.

@ahmed: please see comment below about qualification. I have set the winner of the kings cup as 2nd slot (or 3rd if saudi team wins acle). If I move it to 4th slot, and saudi drops in the coefficient table and has less than 4 spots it would no longer qualify. So, there is no perfect solution I am afraid.

Hello igor, just to clarify about Saudi database, if a Saudi team won the AFC champions ELITE, but is not at the top three, the team who won the Asian elite qualify, then the winner of the league, then the second place team these will qualify for (ELITE), THE THIRD TEAM WILL QUALIFY FOR THE ASIAN CHAMPIONS LEAGE (TWO), based on the winner of the Saudi cup is from top two or the winner of the champions league elite, and make the registration period open at any time because that is what happens on real life.

I'm using saudi db and AFC db. I'm 4 months into saudi db and during mid season, all the players are suddenly unregistered for the acl elite matches. I can't even register them even though it says you can register and play them on time. Idk if it's saudi db problem or AFC db problem. Please look it into it when you return from holidays. It's frustrating to restart again and again

- Yes, missing transfer windows for Saudi Arabia. I have fixed that now
- Vietnam file was not verified, I don't know how it happened but anyway, it is verified now
- Indonesia O35 limit was removed for Championship.

**It happens when I edit during holidays :-(

As for Saudi Arabia and the qualification of the Cup Winner to ACL2, this is not as easy as it seems. I could change it so that the Cup Winner slot is the 4th so that it goes to ACL2, but there is a problem if Saudi Arabia would drop in the coefficient table to have less than 4 qualifiers. Then the Cup Winner would have no more spot. I think that is not correct either. So at the moment I have not a good solution for this.

hello, there is two things that are wrong in the saudi league database, first its the registration players period should be at anytime, second saudi cup winner qualify for ACL champions league TWO and not ELITE, and the fourth place depends on the winner of the saudi cup, if the saudi cup winner is from the top three in the league the ACL champions league two ticket goes to the fourth place team in the league, but if the winner of the saudi cup is not in the top three the winner of the saudi cup qualify

@Masterigor I think that the regulation for players over 35 in Division 2 Indonesia does not exist in the real world, so please update and delete this regulation.

@MasterIgor: After the special tournament of J League, there will be no restriction on foreigner players. However, it should be the same as before (5 foreign players in match squad, and some countries doesn’t count foreign players). Idk if the lastest patch has fixed it, but some of my friends pointed out this problem on the last patch or before it.

@ytplasticman: Japan has 5 foreigner in match squad limit. Do you mean the homegrowns? to be honest, I did not touch this since I assumed SI knows better...

In Japan section it says this

"IMPORTANT! > For optimal experience, please following file, otherwise the Prefectural Qualifiers will not have enough teams and some will never start"

So do you meant to say please delete the following files or what?
