Hi,

I am 26 games through season 3 as Newcastle United manager, and what's more I'm still in the Prem!

Currently playing a 4-1-3-2 formation with 53 points and lying 2nd in the table!

Will update with further info as I progress, including players bought, sold, and all the usual stuff.

Update 28/6/09

Having just lost to Boro to an injury time winner I now lie 3rd, with 6 games to go. Champions league is still a possibility, but Man U and Liv are closing rapidly. Star of the season so far is Marquinhos, with 17 goals.

Other notable signings include Onuha at right back and Brunt for a bargain £3.5m. Goitom for £5.25m now starting to florish, now I've set him as target man. Last seasons top scorer Doyle relegated to bench this season, along with Martins. Owen sold to Pompey (waste of space, just like real life!)

Hoping for top 6 euro qual at the very least as we hit the home straight!

updating from mobile phone so apologies for lack of spelling and formatting!

finished season 3 in 6th place in the end, with my dodgy patch coming in the last 10 games. Recovered just in time to secure european football. A pretty quiet close season this time round with only 3 players brought in; Kacar, Luiz and Beevers at a combined cost of £18m. Despite averaging 52000 crowds and having good control of wages, i'm still not too flush with cash...hopefully success in europe will help that along!

the start of season 4 has been very bright. 6 straight wins in the prem to sit top, league cup progress, Uefa cup group qualification with 4 points from 2 games thus far. I will update with 1st 11 next time round.
