Since fmscout.com is the official homepage of Genie Scout, people were asking if there will be a version released to be compatible with FM 2010.
We contacted Eugene and we have some great exclusive news to announce.

FM Genie Scout 2010 will actually be released!
Estimated release date should be in 1-2 weeks from now. It will be compatible with both FM 10 and FM 10.1 (first patch).

Any idea whether anot the Genie Scout will be compatible with the steam version?

Thanks for the news! I'm using this great tool to export data to my Pro Evolution Soccer editor [csv format]. Converted stats are far better than the original one in the game, but for calculations I need player's height and weight. Any chance to have those values included in FM scout export? Othervise I must write tool to export heigh & weight and merge two files ... In advance thanks

I don't want to bother Eugene asking about exact release date. I'm sure he probably doesn't know that too. Roughly should be a week from now at most though. It's not that long... Rest assured it shall be here the moment it's ready.

As this is a savegame scout utility and not a real time editor, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be compatible. Savegame files are the same for all versions of the game.

Will this be compatible with the steam version? Have bought the game as a dvd, but installed it via steam..

Calm down mate, you could have written all this in 1 comment instead of 3. Can you take a moment to read the news above? It says it will be out in 1-2 weeks and will be compatible with 10.0 and 10.1.

Well, all other programs are not savegame compatible, meaning they are based on a real time framework. Genie knows more about SI db and this is why you can load your savegame and use the program off-game. FM10SX will be savegame compatible too, but for Mac users only.

just a suggestion on improving the scout that would make it damn near perfect, The ability to filter by players who are interested in signing for your club, eg- managing Rangers, genie removes players like Leo Messi etc from the list and leaves only those who would consider a move. I'm not sure if this would be possible or not but it would be cool if it was.
