Fierro to miss Voyageurs Cup Final

VANCOUVER- During yesterdays match Vancouver striker Carlos Fierro went down with a nasty injury during the second half. Team doctors have announced that he is suffering from a sprained ankle and will be out between 7 weeks and two months. This injury is going to effect the squad since he has been contributing to the majority of the workload. Will Vancouver be able to keep their current run going without him or not? VANCOUVER,BC- Is panic starting to set in or is Mike Korrigan's job in jeopardy? Many are now questioning if the club is for real or just a fluke. The reason the injury of Carlos Fierro.

Even since his injury the club has been sub par in league play getting beat in all three matches. The only bright side is their 4-2 win against Montreal in the First Leg of the Voyageurs Cup.

Vancouver win the 2014 Voyageurs Cup

MONTREAL,QC-The Vancouver Whitecaps have won their first Voyageurs Cup after a 2-2 draw in the second leg of the 2014 edition. The club won on an aggregate of 6-4.

The second leg was crazy. Montreal looked like the stronger club and were very close to a massive comeback, but the Whitecaps were able to keep the match from going out of hand. In a month of hardships for the club the final was the brightest spot.

With their victory Vancouver has now qualified for the 2014/15 edition of the CONCACAF Champions League.

Not necessary at all. Bayern has put time and effort into this story, and that's what you do. Just because that update may not have been relevant to the story, it doesn't give you the chance to do THAT. It's a story in the MLS, a change of scenery. I hear it's not just you doing it, so this goes to whoever has been insulting this story, or any story that has had this much effort put in.

How would you like it? Some arseholes insulting your story? I don't think you'd like it.

So if you don't like this story, there are 2 things you could do. a) Don't read, or b) Give some constructive criticism. That was definitely not constructive.

Caps fans are growing weary

The Whitecaps have been on a steep decline lately and many are not pleased. Since Mid May the club has only won or tied 6 out of 12 matches.

The big question here is should Korrigan get the boot since he has been failing to get wins recently for the club.

Also this transfer window has not been active at all, could Vancouver end up not buying any new players and not improve? It is still to bee seen.

Thanks, I am trying to make it like a newspaper article as best as i can.

So today I was in the middle of a meeting when I got a message from my secretary. She told me that I got a very important call from Ottawa. So I told the guys that I need to take this call privately and this is how it goes:

"Hello?"

" Mr. Korrigan, this is Peter Montopoli from the Canadian Soccer Association."

"Nice to meet you!!" (what the hell does the CSA want from me)

"Well Michael as you know Stephen Hart was let go a few weeks ago and we were wondering if you were interested in interviewing for the head coach role?"

"Yes that would be good" (holy crap I am interviewing for the National Team head coach job)

" Well then see you in a few days"

"You too"

(Two days later (7/15/2014))

So today is the the day I fly out to Ottawa. I get into my car and drive to Vancouver International Airport. I arrive at the airport and proceed to the Air Canada checkout. A few minutes pass by and I get my ticket, apparently I am flying first class!!!

(Arrival)

A few hours later the flight arrives at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, and I proceed to get my luggage. Next I head to the rent a car place and rent out a BMW and I am now on my way to the hotel.

(20 minutes later)

I am now at the Hilton and all checked in, after unpacking I decided to go out for dinner at a nice steak restaurant and do a little sightseeing. After all of that I am now ready for sleep and the big day tomorrow.
