Chrisantus to leave Racing for Getafe

Racing and Getafe have both confirmed that Macauley Chrisantus will become a Getafe player at the end of the month. After Raul Gonzalez changed his tactic into a striker-less one, Chrisantus’s game-time significantly went down, like Ezekiel’s. However, Chrisantus had only scored one goal in his 15 appearances for Racing, something which has disappointed the fans, especially when Raul had spoken highly of the player.

With a rumored fee of £400,000, Racing fans will be happy to make any profit of the player, after he joined 6 months ago in a free transfer from Las Palmas. With the club in a massive debt, it is rumored that all earnings from the sale will be used to ease the club’s debt.

Disappointment: The Nigerian striker has been labelled a 'flop' during his stay at Racing.

Raul had confirmed earlier this week that Chrisantus had successfully written up a transfer request, with the club granting it later in the week. Chrisantus final appearance for Racing was against Real Sociedad, whom they lost in penalties, after going into extra-time.
That's some decent profit made from 'the flop'.
Whatever Josh said ^ :P
@Josh: He's been awful, missing 1 v 1 against the gk's and can't take a good shot. Albeit scoring an important goal against Sociedad, I still would prefer selling him.

@NVD: What I replied to Josh ^
Profit on a free transfer... always handy!
@Griffo: Always :)

Racing Set To Sign Wonderkids

Racing have confirmed that both Fede Cartabia and Marko Pavlovski are set to join the club. With promotion to the Liga BBVA on the horizon, preparations for Spain’s top league have already been made, with both players set to join the club tomorrow, on deadline-day.

Many Racing fans will be familiar with Cartabia, after Raul had made the winger an important target last summer. But, Valencia were recluctant to sell, leaving Raul frustrated with his attempts. According to close sources within Racing, when Raul was told about the opportunity to sign Cartabia, Raul quickly called the winger, and reached a verbal agreement. Federico Cartabia signed for Valencia on a free transfer when he was 17 years old, where he would later join their ‘B’ side, whose name is Valencia Mestalla. With Valencia Mestalla, he made an impressive 97 appearances, almost reaching the 100 appearances landmark, an impressive feat for such a young player. On 97 appearances, Federico Cartabia scored 20 times, while assisting another 14 times. With his switch to Racing now looking imminent, the 22 year-old Argentinian winger will be looking to aid to Racing’s promotion back to the Liga BBVA.

Racing-Bound: The youngster will be earning £2,000 per week at El Sardinero.

Many eyebrows were rasied when Serbian wonder-kid, Marko Pavlovski, was announced that he would replace the departed Macauley Chrisantus. Pavlovski was signed for a measly £70,000 fee, which has infuriated Beograd fans, after Pavlovski was seen as a major figure in their play and future. But, with his contract running up in the summer, the fans will be happy to see the club earn some money.

On his Racing move, Pavlovski said,” 'Веома сам задовољан да се придружи Рацинг, посебно управља таквим фантастичним бившег играча, Раул. Ја искрено верујем и надам се да ћу имати велику каријеру у трке, а не могу да чекају да се играју у Ел Сардинеро, а терен где многи познати играчи су.” This translates to,"I'm very pleased to join Racing, especially managed by such a fantastic former player, Raul. I genuinely believe and hope that I will have a great career at Racing, and can't wait to play at El Sardinero, a pitch where many famous players have played at."

Serbian Invasion: The youngster will be hopeful of recreating the form of Nikola Zigic, a former fan favorite and Serbian player at Racing.

Racing fans will be hopeful of seeing both Federico Cartabia and Pavlovski in their match-up against Ponferradina next week.
Two great signings there Pauks! :-)
Cartabia! :D
I'm going to pretend I know who either of these guys are and say "great signings" :P Glad to see the back end (?!?) of Macauley "Caulkin" Chrisantus though. ;)
PAVLOVSKI! That guy... I remember him from my Tenerife save, I think he scored 1 goal all year for me :))
